Advantages: A wide variety of features, good picture quality, durable (millions of photographs without maintenance), Good Value, and Generally convenient in size and weight to take out with you Disadvantages: Poor Lens, Fragile, and generally a lot better products on the market (However, for nowhere near the same price value)
comparison to some of the other cameras made by Fuji it really does seem to be the cream of the crop. For example the new finepix S5000 has a real cheap and nasty feel to it. It has a 10x lense, mind you, but its no match for the 602 in my mind. And the F7000, in my mind, is just simply not worth the money. ...

Advantages: Ergonomic feel, lens quality, superb battery life Disadvantages: Slow with best 6MP setting, poor low light focus.

Glossary :
* MP : MegaPixel, or 1 million pixels. A pixel is one dot of light data, so an image of 1000 x 1000 pixels is classed as 1 mega pixel (1,000,000 pixels). 3MP is 3 million, 6MP is 6 million.
* CF Cards : Compact Flash, a form of memory card, which slots into the side of the camera. Capacities range from 16MB (megabytes) up to 1GB (1 thousand million bytes). The more commonly used 256MB CF card will hold 200 or so images at 3MP. You can also get high speed versions of these memory cards, which means that the image data is written to the card more quickly, reducing the time ...
Advantages: Packed full of features, super macro mode is the best in its class! Disadvantages: so many features its quite difficult to use at first, you can now buy the s7000!
a superb camera with excellent picture quality. I mostly do macro shots - this camera will focus on an object 1cm away - which cannot be beaten at this price (infact i suspect it puts most low end SLR's to shame!)
The only issue with this camera is the steep learning curve and the fact you can get the new fujifilm s5000 and s7000 which use a 4th gen ccd!
