---Accessability---- I find it very handy that they have an outlet in Debenhams, as there is a Debenhams department store very close to me - meaning I can shop at Jane Norman when ever I want to with out having to worry about transport.
There is also a Jane Norman just a car journey away from me in Kingston, so either way and a couple of large store near where I work in London -- so I would say , for me, these stores are well placed.
---The clothing-----
I work with children, and that means getting down on their level, I find that Jane Norman own brand jeans are very hard wearing. Because it is likely that something will get spilt on my jeans in my line of work, I tend to just wash the same pair every couple of days. My current pair have lasted a good six months and are still going strong. I find them a good, comfortable fit and they don't always need a belt -, a good fit - not too tight (I am quite thin, so wary of wearing clothes which make me look too skinny). I am also quite tall, but the jeans seem to always be the perfect length too.
For every occassion, I can always seem to find suitable tops - tops which are pretty, fitted and nice for a casual day as well as dressier tops for an evening out.
I recently went abroad with about fourteen JN tops packed -- a little excessive maybe, but every occasion was covered, from horse riding, to lazing on the beach, to going to the gym, to dining out to eat.
----The layout----- I like the way that the clothing is displayed in the shop - you can actaully SEE the clothing, and, if you do have to browse a rack, there are not too many clothes hanging next to each other, you actually do get space to have a look at the different clothes.
I like the way that suggested items are often paired together, newer clothes usually placed at the front of the shop and older or sale clothng tends to be at the back of the shop.
I don't feel crammed into the shop between the isles, thought at weekends, when I usually visit, there are alot of people buying and browsing, I do not feel that I have to limit my time in JN because I feel uncomforatble in the shop, or can not get to see any clothing I like.
I feel that the clothing is displayed with care and put back into the correct section, should it be misplaced by a customer.
The only times when I tend to see items in the wrong section, or , at worst, on the floor, seems to be during the sales. This is a shame, but I don't think JN is the only shop to suffer this fate during the sales.
---The window display---
I really like how JN display their latest fashions in the window, and new lines. This usually attracts me to look at the clothing inside.
There will usually be a couple of "big" seasonal items (maybe a dress and a coat) as well as a handbag and other matching accessories.
I am very conscious of displays in clothing shop windows and like to see clothing nicely displayed and neatly hanging up. I also like to get a taste of what the shop has to offer before I enter. I feel that JN meets all of this criteria and usually makes me want to go inside to at least browse.
I feel that JN are good at tempting new customers through displaying and changing clothing lines frequently, but not so frequently that the average budget can not keep up. They also keep favourites (for instance jeans) as mentioned before, this is a comforting factor for somebody who goes to buy daily clothing for a pratical purpose.
----The prices-----
The prices, in my opinion, match the quality of the clothing. The jeans maybe more expensive than New look or Primark, but in my experience, they are certainly better quality and you will get longer wear from them.
Tops can be pricey, and you may not get as much wear from these, but I still don't think that they are too expensive, considering they are well made and have something to suit most people's tastes.
I would not shop here for daily clothing if I thought that the clothes would only last five minutes, but put to the test, they are definately worth the price tag. I've had about five jumpers for two years now which still look as good as the day I bought them and I am happy to wear them to work everyday.
So good value for money is what you are getting with JN, if you would prefer to pay a bit less, there are a lot of shops out there with clothing to meet your budget, however if you are looking for clothing that you can wear for a long time to come, or just to treat yourself, I would certainly recommend Jane Norman.
----Keeping up with fashion---
I feel that JN is able to keep up with high street fashions by producing many different lines to suit different tastes, that said they do have the same JN feeling to them. This does not bother me, as I feel really comfortable in JN clothing.
I like the way the winter woolens and summer fabrics are different each year, though the certain styles that have become popular.
The ranges change with each season, but not too fast - I like this as it means that old favourites can be bought at a sale price and new favourite chosen!
----Stock----- There is usually a good amount of any item available in the shop, if not it can usually be ordered from a nearby branch.
Ordering is easy and hassle free and items turn up as expected on time.
----The changing area-----
This usually consist of three curtained rooms. I am not too keen on the changing areas -they are not very spacious and often need clothing from a previous visitor taken out of them.
I do not usually try on the clothes in the store, I will try them on at home and if they do not fit, I will exchange them or take them back. I usually know what will fit me, the sizing is kept the same on most products -ie/ I will know my jeans size/my top size and my jumper size.
I prefer a more spacious area to try on clothing and also can feel at ease at home and not rush in to a decision I might regret.
The changing area serves it's purpose well, but could be better.
----The staff-------
I have always found the staff very competent, happy to assist and friendly. For me, this is very important. Shopping is a fun experience, and so you want staff to be happy.
The staff are usually young women who understand what you are looking for if you describe something to them, and are happy to look for certain sizes too.
The staff are helpful without being pushy.
I feel the "face" of JN is a friendly one. ----The service----
I usually find the service very good, staff are very willing to help.
I do keep my eye out on special discounts though, at the till, as sometimes, especially during busy periods, these can be overlooked.
The staff are usually very happy to help out if you have a lot of items that you are carrying, but only want to take a few in to the changing rooms with you, this means that you can hold on to your bargains!
It is service with a smile, which is very nice to see.
----The bags-----
The famous JN bag is very durable -and great to re-use. People even buy these on ebay!
Your clothes lay flat in the bags, the only thing I have found is that as it gets heavy, the weigh pulls down on the string handle and marks your hand -ouch!
----The sales----
There are always great bargains to be had during the sales at Jane Norman and, though it can get very crowded i there at these times, is well worth a visit. The prices will be often cut by 70 per cent or more, a great way to start your new years wardrobe!
Advantages: Range of clothes, Dresses, Sale Rail, Clean shop. Disadvantages: Some clothes tacky, bigger ladies not catered for, some things bit pricey.
...if you didn't know already Jane Norman sells clothes and the like for females. I would say the target market is probably 16- 25, although some clothes would be suitable for 30+ easily. The shop is found in any british high street and shopping centre, with the prices being in the middle, not too expensive but definatley not cheap.
Walking into my local Jane Norman, the lighting is quite dim, and the colour scheme is all black sparkles, with plush ... ...of my favourite things about Jane Norman is the fact that it is always so neat and tidy, even the sale rail is put into sections. Okay so onto the products themselves. Jane Norman sell every type of clothing there is, for me personally their dresses are the best thing. When I'm going out on the town and need something a little more special I head to Jane Norman. Their products are always on trend, often they have designer copies in really fast. Take ...

===INTRODUCTION===
Jane Norman is a boutique like high street store for women. Their clothes seem to be aimed at young, reasonably slim women from teenagers to late twenties. The chain has been around since 1952 and at the time of me writing this there are 157 stores in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

However, more recently I have been drawn to their store and have bought some very nice things. In terms of pricing, the clothes seem to cost about the same as other similar high street stores aimed at the same age group, for example, Topshop & River Island. Their tops on average seem to cost about ...

== For Starters == Jane Norman to me as a teenager was always slightly too expensive and if you bought anything in there, you used the bag for your PE kit for at least a few weeks!! Now i'm older and earning, I realise that Jane Norman isn't drop dead designer, and is actually pretty affordable, and always up to date on trend. So as you can imagine, on this discovery I started popping in there every time I pass. You can actually commonly spot Jane ... ...'''Clothing Range''' I find Jane Norman a great place to go if you have a little party lurking round the corner and want something trendy and beautiful to wear. Infact to name a few - * '''Tops''' - As the summer season is coming in Jane Norman has started doing a good range of casual tops which are great over jeans or shorts. All their designs are long in shape at the moment ...

Advantages: Clean shop Disadvantages: Rude staff, packed stores, no space to look
I first found Jane Norman when I was shopping in London! I found my experience at this shop satisfactortory. I found the shop rather over-crowded with stock and because of this there was NO space to move around and have a snoop through. At this visit I bought one pair of jeans and a dress both of which have been great products. The jeans are about the only thing I would be happy to buy from this shop. The experience that put me off though was after ... ...average products. I bought 2 wool type jumper dresses and a top. I went to wear the jumper dress the morning after I bought it and discovered a considerable hole in the front of the dress(which may I add had not been caused by me) we proceeded to go back to the shop. When we got there we were fobbed off with some lousy excuse about the jumper and that it would have to go to their 'factory' to be tested to see if it was MY fault or a fault in the ...

Advantages: Gorgeous clothes Disadvantages: Most clothes must be handwashed, expensive
Jane Norman is well known as the classiest women’s high street clothes shop out there. Although I suspect it’s aimed at young women in their twenties, it really caters for everyone. My mother is 43 and size 14/16, whereas I am 15 and size 10/12, but we can both find well fitting, trendy clothes here to suit us.

I saw a similar top and dress this year, only they were light blue and had criss-cross backs.
A lot of the tops are made of the same flimsy, expensive-looking material made of over 80% polyester. Even the trousers (both wool and cotton based) feel really soft on your skin and I always feel assured of the quality when I try anything on.
The latest instalment to my wardrobe (called ‘High ...

The Frenchgate Centre is the main shopping centre located in Doncaster. It was named after the street of the same name that has existed since medieval times.
Old Frenchgate
The centre has been the heart of the town for over 40 years and was originally called the Arndale Centre because it was built, owned and managed by the Arndale Group. It was re-named in 1988 after a change of ownership, with the new name reflecting the name of the street which passes to the east of the centre and which is one of Doncaster's main shopping streets.
New Frenchgate
The Frenchgate centre has been recently renovated and is much better than its old counterpart with lots more shops and a direct link to the train station. The new Frenchgate Interchange includes a large flagship Debenhams store plus new names such as JaneNorman, Next, Monsoon ...

Debenhams offers extras that other stores do not, such as a personal shopper service which is completely free and puts the customer under no obligation to buy, and a wedding gift service which lets you set a wedding list based on any items in the store and is constantly up dated so you don't get the same gift twice..
They have numerous concessions, as for example Lewises and Kendals do (or did in the case of Lewises on Market St which is no more), but there choice is much wider : it would not be unusual to find Top Shop, JaneNorman, Oasis, Kookai, Wilson, Dorma, Sheridan, Gateway and Thomas Cook all under one roof, along with much much more. Speaking of Thomas Cook, customers can use their store cards to book holidays at the in store branch which frees up credit on other cards for different things.
As for the cards, customers reciever 10 ...
