It's comfortable for children - plenty of space on both seats - they are wide, high and comfy. Good material cover. Quite small. It's easy to push in terrain. My toddler loves this pushchair. But... more

Advantages Advantages Looks stylish, newborn seat lies flat

Disadvantages Disadvantages heavy, long, tiny front seat, difficult assembly, wide back wheels, poor brake function

After hearing so many good things about the jane powertwin, and with an expected gap of 19 months between my newborn to be and my toddler, i decided to go ahead and invest in a jane powertwin. After a hellish day of trying to assemble the damn thing and then undoing all my hard work to dissassemble it to return it back, I decided it would be important to forewarn potential buyers of the MANY drawbacks of such an expensive pram. Assembly: The pram is very heavy (or maybe its just me being 8 months pregnant and with a sore tummy and back) to lift in and out of the assembly box. the instructions ... more

Advantages Advantages Big tyres, easy to use, removeable wheels

Disadvantages Disadvantages Its heavy with wheel on.

Having looked at some of the reviews for this pram I felt that I had better set the record straight. I bought this pram after the missus done some background work on the internet to find the best twin pram on the market. We have two young boys 2 years and 6 months and this pram is an absolute godsend. My partner and I have always enjoyed getting out and about and going to all sorts of places, and I tell you right now without the powertwin we would not be able to go half of these. For instance today we hit the beach at Seamill in Ayrshire, the shore is full of large pebbles and seaweed and I ... more

Advantages Advantages For two kids, comfy tyres

Disadvantages Disadvantages everything else about it

I bought this when I was pregnant with my 3rd child, and my 2nd was going to be 18mths when 3rd baby arrived so decided after much deliberation that a double buggy would be what was needed. I spent ages looking on the internet and in baby shops looking for the right one but didn't actually find one that met my expectations, they were either cheap and nasty looking or similar to this one. I saw one on two left feet on offer at £440 for this buggy, car seat, two foot muffs, changing bag and rain cover, so considering they were selling for around £600 I thought it was a bargain and bought it ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to steer, compact, suitable from birth, car seat compatible.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Heavy to lift in and out of car.

I bought the Jane Powetwin when my daughters were 3 months and 18 months. It came with raincover, 2 hoods and footpump. Reason for purchase was I had already bought a side by side pushchair but couldn't get through many doorways. At first I attached the rebel car seat to the pram for my 3 month old. The good thing was it could be attched to the front or back position. As the front seat only has one recline I used to put the car seat on the front position so my 18 month old could si in the rear seat and fully recline it if she fell asleep. The powertwin is really easy to manouver. You can push ... more

    Advantages Advantages spacious seat

This was the 2nd double buggy I brought (after my husband broke the first!) My eldest son was 19 months and my youngest was 3 months. We chose the Jane as we were looking for a buggy that we could buy replacement parts if we needed too. I have to honeslty say I loved the Jane to start with. Yes, like anything else it has its good and bad points. If im honest these would be them: the good: tandem buggy means its easier to get in and out of doors. Suitable for toddler and newborn fairly lightweight to push due to wheels average size shopping basket the bad (and remember, this is only in my ... more

Has anyone else had a problem with the height of the hood on the front seat of the Jane Powertwin?

My son will be 2 years old when my next baby arrives and I bought the Jane Powertwin after much research online as I thought it seemed the best double pushchair to suit our needs. I bought mine second hand as they are soooo expensive new but the problem is that when my son sits in the front seat the hood is touching the top of his head. He is tall for his age but I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem?
