Advantages: SPF 20 pure product doesn't block pores good for skin Disadvantages: price
My beautician convinced me to buy this product after I complimented her about how lovely her skin was looking. She looked like she had no make up on but told me her secret and put some Jane Iredale pressed powder on my face to show me just how well it worked. I have large pores and found that a lot of the liquid foundations used to make them look even worse but this product disguises them so well without looking like you are even wearing a foundation.
My skin seems very settled to - it's not oily or dry and feels like it can breathe properly.
The only mistake I think I made was paying £39 for the powder and £29 for the brush as I've seen it on the web for a lot less - but then she did introduce me to this fabulous product so I don't mind paying over the odds on this occassion. I think it will last quite a long time though ...
Advantages: Quite funny and insightful, pretty good characters, inventice Disadvantages: The Discworld concept just doesn't work as well in a sci-fi setting, Pratchett's writing style not fully developed at this stage
We all know Terry Pratchett as the creator of the Discworld series (or if you don't, it's about time you did). But Strata is an early exploration of that idea and, while I don't think it's up to the standard of the majority of the Discworld novels, it's still good and is basically required reading for Pratchett fans.
The story centres around Kin Arad, a woman over 200 years old (surgical techniques are pretty advanced and people are paid by The Company in "days" rather than cash), who works for the afore-mentioned "Company". This organisation creates planets - they take a likely looking asteroid and terraform it into a living breathing planet, but they also add history - fossils and so on - for the new inhabitants of the planet to find so that they establish a proper identity for themselves. At the start of the book she has to ...
Advantages: rock solid in car- so safe! Disadvantages: doesnt look that comfy
We bought this as we had previously been using the Britax isofix cosy tot premium and had been very pleased with it.
We bought it from kiddicare.com for £130 in "harold" which was a blue with small white spots. When it arrived the straps have nice chunky padding bits on them which do make it harder for the child to get their arms out of- this is a common problem with the odler age carseats! The seat in itself does not feel really padded like some other carseats but it is padded enough and can recline enough for my daughter to sleep in. Admitedly it would be nice if it could recline more but she does not seem to mind at all!
Once it is fitted in the car ( which is done very easily) it is rock solid and is so much safer than your average seatbelt types. The bonus with this seat though is that it can also be used with seatbelts! Overall ...
