Advantages: Solid, hardwearing, does it all. Disadvantages: A very heavy machine, a lot of information to get to grips with

The built in designs are great and the hoops are easily attached to the machine. you do need a large workspace for the way the machine functions but the results are lovely, just make sure that you use a good stabiliser and fix the fabric firmly into the hoop. The only issues I am having with this function is the downloaded embroidery patterns, I can get them onto the computer just fine but transfer from computer to the machine is a little frustrating , as some of the designs seem to cross over no problem whereas others do not want to go, even though they are all in the .Jef format from the same website. go figure.
quilting.
I cannot say much here yet as I am still on a learning curve with quilting, let alone the machine, I have sampled some of the stippling patterns and found them to be simple to do and effective, the presser foot ...
Advantages: Timeless collection for a great price Disadvantages: Some bugs still to be corrected
Finally a complete collection of all the original Sims titles for a good price too. This gave me the chance to try those expansions that I didn't manage to play back then. I suppose that most of the people reading reviews for this product already tried or at least know what the Sims is about so I'll just proceed to say the good and the bad of this collection. If you don't already know all the expansion titles included it will take you a while to learn all the new functions but that's part of the fun too (for example I didn't know about the addition of the magical world and it was fun to discover the new actions related). A very good thing is that it can all be installed at once while previously you had to install each expansion singularly. The only bad and annoying thing ...
Advantages: Excellent stich quality, user friendly, reliable Disadvantages: haven't found any yet
I originally compared sewing/embroidery machines and came down to a choice between the Husqvarna Designer SE and the Janome 11000. I then chose the Husqvarna designer SE as it had more features (I thought) even though it was more expensive. It soon became evident I had made a big mistake, as the SE had fault after fault, and ruined umpteen items, and even a replacement machine that I was sent did not work properly. I was an experienced user, having moved up from the Husqvarna Designer 1, having had embroidery machines for around 15 years, and had never experienced these type of problems before. Still there were so many problems I did start to wonder if perhaps I was doing something wrong. It turns out I wasn't, the machines were just lemons.
I was eventually given a refund on the SE and despiteconsidering giving up mahcine ...
