I am using more features on the machine. Also, the fact that my experience is growing means that I can assess this machine even more. As I have improved to make my own handbags, clothes and even Christmas decorations I have found that this machine provides everything I need. It has a great thread tension dial, which I can change depending on the type of fabric I am using. When I first started I was using simple polycottons but now I am using heavy corduroys, canvas as well as other weighted fabrics and the Janome J3-18 handles all very compentently. It doesn't struggle and sews with ease and perfect stitching (pending on the user!!).
I have also found the machine really easy in terms of changing the feet - it's very simple to change from standard to zipper foot, to button hole foot. It is also really easy to change a needle or alter ...

I have had this machine for a few months now. It has a totally mind boggling array of functions some of which are still eluding me.
Instructions :-
I was expecting to receive something the size of an encyclopaedia with this machine in order to explain all of its functions, however I was pleasantly surprised by the document that I did receive. It is well set out logical and easy to navigate, covering all applications. There are questions that I have not yet managed to answer yet, but I think it is just a matter of time.
The MC11000 also has built in instructional videos which help out with bobbin winding and the automatic needle threader amongst others.
