The comics weren't expected to be that great but fans and others were surprised by the quality and consistency of them all, including me. The story picks up after the events of the movie JASON X with Uber-Jason landing on Earth 2 in the year 2455. Don't worry though if you haven't seen the movie it doesn't matter as this is also a story on it's own. He (surprise, surprise) lands in Crystal Lake (where he originally hails from in the Friday The 13th movies) and begins searching for his latest victims.
Kristen, who's husband is dying, and Michelle who are workers at Crystal Lakes research facility have been expecting him. Kristen has a plan to take Jason down enabling her to get a sample of his body-regenerating tisue hoping that it will save her husband and ensure the survival of the human race using the Infantry-nites (robotic, ant sized, creatures each with their own laser gun) that she herself developed. The plan works and Jason is captured but spurred on by the crazed, murderous voice of his mother inside his head he breaks free and goes straight for Kirsten and Michelle. Kristen manages to get away but Michelle is not so lucky.
Will Kristen be able to get to her husband with the sample before Uber-Jason gets to her? You'll have to read the comic to find out the rest as if I tell you anymore, I'll be telling you the whole story.

The art-work is brightly coloured and very detailed enabling you to easily see what's going on apart from a couple of sequences which could have been described a bit more as i found i had to re-read it a couple of times to understand what happened. The speech bubbles are very well placed giving a more fluent read.

The one i'm reviewing here is just the regular cover edition of the comic. You can also buy it with different style cover. For example, you can also purchase this story with a Gold foil cover limited to 700 copies worldwide, a red foil cover limited to 1500 copies, a gore style cover, a terror style cover, a wrap-around style cover and a glow-in-the-dark style cover giving you a wide variety of choice and A LOT of them to collect!
* tO SUM Up *
The comic hasn't got the most complex story in history but that's not the point. It's just good, gory fun that you'll enjoy reading and collecting but to be honest i think it only appeals to fans of the Friday The 13th horror movies as it doesn't offer much else to, say someone who (already) doesn't like those movies. So, like i said, if you're a fan then this comic and the others in the series are well worth your money retailing in the U.K at around 2 to 3 pounds for the regular editions but anything from 5 pound upwards for the special foil editions. Enjoy!
Advantages: Great Original Story idea, Great Artwork, Great Fun! Disadvantages: Some pictures are hard to work out what's happening...

(carried on from my review of Issue 1) Within every evil there is is a more horrifying evil waiting to be released.
On a routine salvage mission, the crew of the Pompei boarded the remains of the space catamaran Grendel in the hopes of pirating its valuable cargo, primarily a medical nanotech regeneration unit. What the crew found was death at the hands of Jason Voorhees, accidentally reconstructed by ...

No Longer able to sustain life, the planet Earth finally shed the curse of Jason Voorhees when the un-dead, mass-murderer's cryogenically frozen corpse was transported to the orbiting transport catamaran, Grendel (from the movie JasonX). After spontaneously reanimating over 500 years after his birth, Jason resumed his agenda of death ...
