Advantages: Covers lots Disadvantages: Uses a custom class as a short hand
...can use to create your Java programs. I do have to criticisms though. The author has created his own class (A set of instructions) to perform routine tasks such as reading from a file. These may programs easier to write but make the language harder to learn and without a lecturer to point this out to me I may have struggled with it for a bit. You may be wondering why this is a problem. Suppose I wrote a program at home that used his class and then ... ...don’t have his extension so my program wouldn’t work. The other criticism is that the AWT (Abstract Windowing Toolkit, it creates windows, buttons for you to interact with) isn’t covered in as much detail as it could. I’d still recommend this book however, as I doubt you could find one book for a language that covered everything satisfactorily. ...
