Advantages Simple to use, great effects and choices

Disadvantages None!

Working in IT I tend to have the privilege of 'trying out' new software. The other day JavaRazor by Ulead landed on my PCdesktop :)

For those of you who are into creating rather nice looking Web pages with minimum fuss then I would take a serious look at this simple tastey little package.

The package comes with two installables - Animator and Button Applets. Using either provided wizards or the properties options (for more control) you can very easily create animated buttons. You can add your own backgrounds or piccies easily. You also have lots of options for colours. For example - on the MouseOver event the colour can be set to Neon. This means you get a great glowing effect around your text on this event. Buttons can be different shapes too - just select what you want!

The buttons are displayed in a simple Explorer type area and these can be re-ordered simply by using the tool bar arrows provided. The Applet it self can be re-sized so it can cater for what ever sized buttons you want!

Animator allows you to create Applet animations like Wave, Fade and Scroll Effects sooooo easily. I made one in less than a minute! You can use any graphics (jpeg/gif recommended) and then you can knock together Banners and really professional looking stuff like that. In addition you can then link a Frame to any URL of your choice.

When you have finished making your creations you can preview them in your native browser to ensure they look the business! Finally you simply save the code and drop it into your own Web pages :)

Sometimes packages like these tend to get a little complex. Ulead seem to manage to pack an awful lot into one package without going over the top with technical jargon. (I never used the manual)...

Great package - so simple! I am recommending it... Check out the Ulead site for more info'. Unfortunately as my version was for testing I have no price - but I believe it is around £35 mark - which is quite reasonable for an avid Web Developer :)
