Advantages: Great starter-set Disadvantages: One is not enough?

Having seen the Ad on TV and Boy really desparate for one I thought this the best to go for in the way of remote control race track as at 4 he's really not old enough for a big expensive set so he got this for Christmas. Cost us £30 from Toys'r'Us though can be found in many other stores and on-line, the price is about the same everywhere but you may find it a bit cheaper.
Age on box states not suitable for under 3 years, due to small parts and functional sharp edges - we haven't found any particularly sharp bits yet ? so unsure which bits that refers to. Also tells you that new controllers may become warm and emit vapour and give off slight smell -this is normal and disappears after use. Nice !

Advantages: Introduces children to shapes. Disadvantages: Not the most exciting of books compared to recent publications on the same theme.

I bought this book in the late 90s and I still use it today with younger children, alongside the more recent, brightly coloured publications.
As stated earlier, it certainly does what is intended and is a good, basic introduction to 2D shapes for children.

when we found the 'MyFirst Ready Bed' (suitable from 18 months to 5 years old) on the Great Little Trading Co web site. It is an inflatable junior sized bed (125 cm long by 71 cm wide and 30 cm high when inflated) with two bumpers which run down either side to ensure your little sweetie doesn't roll out.
It is super easy to use, just put the plastic lilo style bed inside the cover, pump it up with the pump provided, close the Velcro seals on the cover and you're ready for bed! It takes less than five minutes - fantastic! The pump comes with two settings to inflate and deflate. The inflating, as just mentioned, is great. The deflating takes a while and I found it less hassle to just unplug the stopper and leave it to deflate while we have breakfast!
