I was bought this aftershave for Christmas this year by my girlfriend. I liked it so much; I thought I would share my opinion of it with Ciao.
Packaging Jean Paul Gaultier 'Le Male' comes in a silver tin with the 'Jean Paul Gaultier' label embossed on the front. You can pull the bottom of the tin off, and the bottle of aftershave sits in a stand on the base, which is attached to the base of the tin. Inside the top section of the tin is a white plastic section which holds the top of the bottle square inside the tin, once the bottle is back inside which stops it from rattling around and possibly being smashed inside.
The bottle itself is typical of Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave and comes in their famous body shaped bottle. This particular bottle is in the theme of a sailor. The bottle is an off navy blue with white stripes across the top of the torso. On the shoulders of the bottle, the word 'Gaultier' is embossed on the glass.
Price For 75ml you would look to pay anything between £25 - £40.
Fragrance I always find it hard to describe a smell of something. The ingredients of the aftershave include cardamon, bergamot, orange blossom, cumin and amber. Overall I would say that this fragrance is very distinctive, I don't think there are any fragrances that smell similar which is why I like this one the most. It is musky, and very masculine. Many aftershaves are quite light and floral, but this is not one of them. It's definitely a man's smell (which will stop your girlfriend pinching it!)
How Do I Use It? This is your bog standard spray bottle with a silver top which is pushed down to release the spray. I think you can also buy this aftershave in the splash format, where you just dab it onto your skin but personally prefer the spray.
How Long Does The Aftershave Last? I find that this aftershave lasts all day. I usually put 3 squirts around my neck and throughout the afternoon at work, people still comment on the scent. I find that when I wear this for a night out, the smell is still quite obvious even after being in a smoky atmosphere for most of the night.
Would I recommend? I would definitely recommend this aftershave. It is slightly more expensive than other aftershaves on the market but well worth the extra money due to its longevity and scent. I also think it makes a great addition to an aftershave collection as the bottle is very distinctive.

The men round here don't seem to wear aftershave anymore, seems a bit sad. The smell of beer and fags just doesn't have the same effect does it? Great review.
