The Phong is Jeantech's budget offering, even still it has 7 3½ inch hard drive bays and four 5¼ Drive bays. Jeantech has chosen to make the savings by cutting out all the non essentials like tool-less hard drive removal and motherboard trays, which server a limited purpose after the system has been built. The case is constructed from steel with a plastic front end, the case is reasonable sturdy and build quality is of a high standard.
The Phong comes with a large number of accessories, which include, a mix bag of screws and bolts for building your system, thumb screws for the side panels, two 12cm fans, a Molex to twin 3 head fan converter, front air filter, As well as a funnel which funnels in cold air over the HSF. As well as this the Phong has side panel control which features two USB ports, an Audio output and a MIC input and two fan controls for the 12cm case fans.
The design of the case is quite logical, it features a front 12cm fan which intakes air through a dust filter over the hard drive bay. It also features a 12cm exhaust which is situated underneath the PSU at the rear. The side panel has a space for another 8cm fan (not included) which blows onto the HSF, it would perhaps be better place down beside the graphics card to aid cooling of SLi Systems. The one minor problem with design is that there isn't much space between the top of the motherboard and the PSU, which depending on the socket placement of your motherboard, could result in overly large HSF not being able to fit. Although it's unlike you'll ever experience the problem.
The performance of the Phong was quite impressive, it managed to cool the case 3*C cooler than a standard case with 8cm fans. Also thanks to the side panel air vent it cool the processor 5*C cooler. Also the two fans included offer great airflow at with low noise, and thanks to the fan controller you can control the fans speeds to give you even more silence.
Although possibly the biggest advantage of the Phong is its price, you can pick up this case with all its accessories for just £25, even though this case has a enough features and quality to rival and case at twice the price. It's actually quite surprising how far your money stretches with this case. If you're building a budget system, then you need look no further.
