Garfield Pocket Books
Review of Garfield In Training - Jim Davis by  Mustafa

Advantages: Funny, you will never get tired of it, is suitable for anyone, is useful when you're feeling down in the dumps.
Disadvantages: absolutely none

...I must say that Garfield has always been one of the old favourites of mine. Jim Davis has always done a superb job on his cartoons. I have read almost every Garfield book and I never tire of his antics. Of course all the old characters star in these such as Odie, Jon, Jim etc. I would strongly recommend these books to anyone who needs a bit of cheering up and a chuckle or two. All of the cartoons are completely original and there is no way on Earth that whatever happens next is at all predictable. I've bought and read most of these books for good entertainment and I can honestly say that I've never grown tired of my collection of books even though I have already read them so many times. Garfield is a timeless comedy which is suitable for anyone in the family, young and old.... Read review

TOOOO GOOOOOD
Review of Garfield In the Pink - Jim Davis by  chinnyman

Advantages: easy to read
Disadvantages: a bit short

...People laugh when you talk about garfield, but in my opinion it is an all time classic . People talk about Shakespeare but they forget writers that can make you laugh and smile. Garfield probably the worst cat to own but the best to read about. Odie the dog is a really good dog. Jim davis is truly a great author and he will stay in my mind for a long time . A book i can read now and forever more. I love picture story books it is a relief on the eyes. Nothing can make me laugh more than good old garfield . Rather like the simpsons it can appeal to all age levels due to the maturity of some of the jokes . A cheap book and i predict a good collection will be worth alot ina few years time and more priceless to ur mind... Read review

Happy Birthday Garfield!!!
Review of Garfield at 25: In Dog Years I'd be dead - Jim Davis by  eve6kicksass

Advantages: funny, partcularly for fans
Disadvantages: not many, except that it doesn't even MENTION the live action movie

...This was the last present my father gave me before he passed away, and this is no doubt one of the best presents he had ever given me. Yes, I'm one of those kids who grew up reading Garfield...none of the other comics I had gained as much fascination (and laughed) more than that fat orange cat with black stripes. Ever since 1978, he has been in the Comics of the paper every day, and he almost guaranteed a laugh, even when you are feeling down. Now, his birthday was quite a celebration with this beautiful hardbound book, other comic book writers praising him, as well as a live action movie that is due to be released in the summer of 2004. The cat who loves lasagna has now hit the big time. Jim Davis' new book celebrating Garfield's 25th, is a wonderful collection of everything that Garfield is and what he has... Read review
