Jonne Harris was born in 1964 on 3/7/1964 in Yorkshire in a place called Barnsley. Her mother is French and her father her father was english. Her grandparents owned a sweet shop .
She was educated at Wakefield Girls'High and went to Barnsley Sixth Form College. From there she went to St Catherine's College which was in Cambridge where she studied Modern and Medieval Languages.
She was teaching when she wrote her first three novels which were The Evil Seed which was published in 1989. Then in 1993 she wrote Sleep Pale Sister and she became very well known after she had written Chocolat in 1999. Also Chocolat was made into a film which starred Juliette Binoche,Johnny Depp and Judy Dench.
When she is not writing she does enjoy playing bass guitar in a band which was first set up when she was sixteen. Also she is studying Old Norse and lives withe Husband who is called Kevin and their daughter Anouchka.
She has recently Wrote Lollipop which is the sequel to Chocolat.
After reading about her life i do feel inspired to read her books and that is what I am in the throws of doing As I amalways looking for different authors to read.
