At £10 for the pair, it wasn't cheap, but as it's made by John Frieda (celebrity hair stylist) I guess you pay, in part, for the brand. Boots also often have offers on ... ...pick it up at a cheaper price too.
It comes in a brown bottle (fitting with the brunette brand) that stores on it's base so you can get the last drops out easily. The shampoo itself is a clear gel like liquid. It has no overwhelming scent to it, a slight smell similar to cocoa butter if anything. The shampoo bottle itself says that the product will 'bring out multi-dimensional richness of brunette hair while enhancing highlights' and can be used for natural, colour treated or highlighted brunette. It is a 'low pH formula' with cocoa bean extraxt and silk protein.
I don't myself have highlighted hair, so I can't comment on how this would affect that, but I have found my hair to feel very soft after use. My hair feels really clean and looks shiny too. It also feels great to the touch, not so dry. For me this is a good shampoo, really gentle and effective. However, I would like the product to have a more distinctive scent that I could smell on my hair even after washing.
