Thanks for all the rates - if you read one of my reviews, then I will return the favour! Would appreciate any reads of my Flashforward review - it came through too fast!
I thought that I would review this conditioner as I recently ran out of it and so had to use a general one that was knocking about in the bathroom. It is only then that I realised how good this conditioner is and how much I missed it.
What it is like and overall opinion.-
The conditioner is a creamy colour and is quite thick in consistency, so you only need a circle of about 2 to 3 cm diameter. The bottle states that it is paricularly good for colour treated or highlighted hair brunette hair.
I don't know if buying shampoo and conditioner by hair colour really makes a difference in particular, but this product is good and does it's job anyway.
It states that it has special illuminating properties - and contains cocoa bean and crushed pearls to help achieve this.
The bottle is one where you take the conditioner from the bottom and it has a cap that stops drips.
I leave it in my hair for a few minutes and then rinse out. It does take quite a bit until the water runs clear, but I take this to mean that the conditioner has clung to the hair and so must have done it's job.
I also use the corresponding shampoo and think this might contribute to the good effect that it has.
It has a kind of coconut smell, which reminds me of holidays and is very pleasant. It does last me a couple of months, even though I use it every couple of days.
My hair feels soft afterwards, but not unmanageable and I do get compliments about how shiny my hair is. I am not sure that it helps my colour to last particularly longer, but overall my hair looks healthy and feels good.
When I used a cheaper brand my hair felt dry and was difficult to comb through and so I will stick to this in future. I am not sure if you should swap from time to time, perhaps someone with more knowledge will come along and add their opinion.
I know that there are cheaper options, but for me spending a little bit more is worth it.
It costs around £4.50, but can often be found on 3 for 2 offers or 3 for £10 in Boots or Tesco. I usually stock up then.
I should also mention that not only is is available for different hair colours, but it is available for shades of a particular colour too. For example, mine is for Chocolate to Espresso.
Thanks for reading! Will also be published on Ciao.COM and Dooyoo under the same username.
Summary: Worth paying that bit extra!
