I’ve never heard anyone pray to the Father, the son and the holy stylist… This product might well be why. There was a recovery but it could not be described as being miraculous by any stretch of the imagination.
You are reading about Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery.
It comes in a plastic cylindrical pot (a bit taller than a pot of styling cream) and is clear with a white lid. Frizz Ease is written in white capitals in a purple box and it says Miraculous Recovery in purple underneath. It also says it is a Deep conditioning treatment and that it repairs damaged hair, moisturises and strengthens hair.
There is a red box with “step 2” in it… This refers to the steps that are in the entire Frizz Ease range… You see, you are not supposed to only use one of the products… you should buy all of them or all your hair will fall out. DO YOU UNDERSTAND! That was a lie… My hair hasn’t fallen out YET eek!
On the back there is lots of writing telling you about how to use it and I’m not going to bore you with it… you can read it in Boots! All I will say is I don’t follow the directions as I get better results in other ways!! Interested? Read on…
So… you have the pot home. It looks all nice and stylish… quite minimalist without being Tesco Value! You open the pot… The product is white and sloppy… like thick yoghurt and it smells a bit “salony”… not like fruit or anything but sort of like a hair salon. I don’t think the smell is that nice but there you go!
You would expect the conditioner to be a firmer consistency given the packaging and, to be honest, I was quite surprised when I first used it and the remaining product returned to having a flat surface rather that there being finger marks from where I had just stuck my hands in… it felt like normal conditioner!
DIRECTIONS
Apparently you are supposed to shampoo… squeeze out excess moisture and apply this to your hair distributing evenly from root to tip then depending on your hair condition either leave for 5-10 mins or wrap head in a warm towel and leave for 20 mins. After this you rinse of and you are supposed so enjoy lovely miraculously recovered hair.
I didn’t.
My hair felt no better than when I use a normal conditioner and I was not impressed… I had this whole load of product left and by golly I was going to make it work! Follows is how I found I got the best results with this product…
STARSALLY’S GUIDE TO MIRACLES
Bear in mind that I have curly hair that, considering it is curly is in pretty good condition. Having said that it is dry and can go frizzy. This is what worked for me. here goes...
Shampoo hair then get out of the shower… remove excess water maybe with a towel… whatever works for you! Then apply product evenly… tie hair up out of your face and leave it. I went to sleep with the product on my head and in the morning I showered as normal but did not shampoo or condition… merely rinsed. My hair actually felt different.
When you apply run the product all the way through the hair… don’t put too much on or you will get it all over your pillow! I think it is best to apply a little at a time so it doesn’t go everywhere but catches all your hair… much in the same way as when applying non drip home hair dye!
VERDICT
To be honest I am not convinced that I would not have got the same result from sleeping with any other conditioner on. I got good results but not by doing what I was told in the directions! I don’t think my way is any more hassle because frankly I hate getting back into the shower when I only got out a few minutes before!
It is quite reasonably priced (£4.95 for 150ml) compared to other such products but as I said it is not a miraculous product… although it is not a *bad* product in comparison to what else is out there. If you are interested in getting this and you are in no hurry then keep an eye out for special offers in Boots, Superdrug and Sainsburys as it is the sort of product that is often on offer. I have just looked on wellbeing.com and it is 3 for 2 there!
I feel like I want to give this product 3 1/2 out of 5 rather than 3 but as that isn't an option!
Happy Hairwashing.
Thanks for reading.
