Priced at between £5.35 at Boots for an 150ml tub (and approxiamately £1.50 for a small sachet) this a product that can put people off by price alone. I must admit I have been lucky enough to find it on special offer at my local supermarket and have bulk bought the product. I first tried it using the sachet which is probably the best option for finding out if this is suitable for your hair.
*~The Scent~*
The smell of the product is pretty standard for most hair products and there is nothing remarkable about it. Considered it is not made for making your hair smell particularly nice the scent is pleasant enough.
*~The Effects upon my hair~*
My hair is generally quite frizzy and wavy and can be temperamental particularly when the weather is wet, humid or windy. I desperately needed a product that would make my hair more manageable in the long run, particularly as I straighten my hair and sometimes there is slight heat damage despite my use of a straightening serum. The first time I used this product the results were instant and I was very pleased. It was easier to blow dry and straighten and I had less kinks when I went out, even in bad weather. I continue to use this product every week, particularly when I have an important meeting, event or am off to go see my boyfriend. It quite simply works and leaves my hair feeling smooth and shiny.
*~What about other people's hair?~*
My hair is generally quite thick but I really would advise that you buy the small sachet first. My mum who also has problems with some frizz bought a whole tub upon my recommendation. However, her hair is thinner than mines and she found that it thinned her hair more and made it look flat and boring, spoiling the effects of her rather expensive salon-bought thickening shampoo. So whilst it worked wonders for my hair it may not work well for other hair types.
*~Quantity~*
I find that the quantity is quite small for the price but I continue to buy it for the effect it has on my hair. This is particularly pricey if you have very long hair. Personally, I find it lasts me quite a while as I do not use this too frequently. This is because it can make hair look too flat and a bit greasy if you use it more than 3 to 4 times a week. It is best to use this one day and then stick to your normal shampoo and wash the next day. Using it two days in a row can just be too much.
*~So is it worth it?~*
I continue to buy it, especially when it is on special offer as it is the only thing I have found so far that is really effective upon my frizzy hair. I would recommend it to anyone but caution must be taken - Test it out before you buy or you may regret spending so much money on it.
