To be honest I can't remember exactly why I bought this range of shampoo and conditioners... But this should just prove how long I've been using it. I've always liked to experiment with new products, just for change rather than dissatisfaction with the product itself. That's why I always come back to John Freida.
I have never used the shampoo on its own, always with the conditioner, so please bear this in mind.
My hair is pretty long; about half way down my back. It's straight but quite dry and frizz-prone. This product was obv a natural chocie.
The smell is not a turn on... Or a turn off... It's pretty moot.
You only need a small amount of this shampoo for it to work. In fact I wouldn't recommend using a lot due to the fact it contains silicone. In excess this will make your failr quite heavy.
This shampoo is obv quite expensive. But its readily avaliable and if you keep stock when Boots, Superdrug or so on have an offer on you shall be getting much better value for money. Boots usually have it on a buy 2 for £5 offer; £2.50 each for shampoo and conditioner is prettyt standard... Very cheap in the designer shampoo market.
I can't say the results are as great when hair is left to dry naturally. The shampoo contains many heat activated ingredients so to get the best from it I think you need to either blowdry or straighten.
Either way if I could only use one hairt care range for the rest of ternity, I'd stick with John Fredia. You'd be in very safe hands!
