The product that I used is called John Frieda Sheer Blonde Luminous Color Glaze Platinum to Champagne. Wow that was a mouthful, it is the same product as the picture shows just for hair that is a shade lighter. A misconception that people have is that this product can take the place of a conditioner but it is not meant to be one at all. It is a glaze that you are supposed to use after shampooing and conditioning (preferably with the sheer blonde brand of shampoos and conditioners) A glaze just adds an extra dimension of shine to your hair.
The bottle claims: "Easy-to-use salon inspired treatment refreshes dull blonde hair with glistening shine and a touch of shimmering blonde color" I can't agree with the easy to use part. It's not really "hard to use" but I have to say that it is a bit of a pain in the rear. I was hesitant when I used it for the first time because there were so many rules and cautioning on the bottle that it made me nervous. Like...it may cause staining on surfaces, don't get any in your eyes and wash your hands immediately. I did not notice any staining problems but that could be because of the light color I was using.
Then the directions say, "Start with Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner (I did but I really don't like their shampoo and conditioner too much). Squeeze excess water out of hair. While still in the shower, smooth Luminous Color Glaze through wet hair, distributing evenly. (yikes this worried me because I wasn't sure how much to use) Use enough product to lightly cover hair from root to tip. Use more or less product depending on length and thickness of hair. Wash hands thoroughly. Leave on for at least three minutes and rinse. Style as usual. Color results intensify over time."
My results were immediately noticeable. This product made my hair look so glossy I could not believe my eyes. It was as if each strand of my hair was enveloped in a coating of glass. It was glossy not greasy and it really made my hair look healthy and gorgeous. It made my hair feel silkier and I found that I was playing with my hair an awful lot plus looking at it all the time and you can actually see the difference especially when you look up close.
As far as the color goes I did not notice any change in my hair color. I have naturally blonde hair and I have never dyed it. This glaze just seemed to enhance my hair's natural beauty. Unfortunately the glaze does not last forever but my hair looked impeccable for about 3 days even after shampooing daily. I guess this is why you reapply it and eventually buy more (good marketing strategy John Frieda). I do love what this did for my hair and I will continue to use it though I seem to forget a lot. I wish there was a conditioner out there that could do what this product did in less time.
I think I would recommend this product due to the fact that the results just blew me away. The application took some effort but it is really worth the extra time. The price is competitive and I don't think it is unreasonable.
