Bloke? Blonde hair? Highlights? If this sounds like you then read on (and if it doesn't, read on anyway cos it'll only take a minute).
I've had highlighted hair for many years now (yes, I am male before you start) and recently I had a longer cut with what my hairdresser called 'slices of blonde'. Anyways, these slices were pretty big, definately lighter than usual and basically looked great, so I thought I'd have a new look on the market for something that would help retain the colour.
A few days later, on my regular shopping trip to my local Asda, I came across the Sheer Blonde range and decided that the £4.30 was probably worth a shot having read previous favourable opinions on here regarding the shampoo. After using it for about 3-4 days, I instantly noticed the change in my hair and I must say after having used this stuff for several weeks now, this stuff is really fantastic in terms of bringing out the blonde in your hair. Whether it's a natural blonde or in my case, highlighted blonde, this stuff will work it's magic and leave you with wicked colour. I have tried quite a few different products up to now that claim to do the same, but I've honestly never seen a product work quite so well as this stuff.
Now, not only does it work well on colour but it is also very impressive in terms of getting clean and soft hair. It feels great after a wash but as pointed out below, will feel better if it is used with the Sheer Blonde conditioner. As for smell, can't say I've really noticed it but then I guess that's something women probably pick up more on so nevermind.
The drawbacks. Well, as I noted above this shampoo should ideally it should be used in conjunction with the Sheer Blonde conditioner as it has a tendency to dry out hair and leave you with a straw-like consistency. I noticed this after having used the shampoo for a few days and immediately went back to purchase the accompanying conditioner. It's hard enough to prevent dry hair after having it highlighted as it is and so I would definately recommend you use the conditioner also to put a bit of suppleness and strength back into your hair. Not only this, but the product is a little expensive compared to others on the market. In fairness however, this stuff is definately worth the extra few quid if you're trying to improve your colour because it simply works so well.
So in conclusion, if you want an impressive colour and a high quality shampoo, and of course you're willing to spend a few extra pennies, I'd definately recommend you go out and purchase the shampoo and conditioner in this range because you won't be dissappointed. It really is good stuff.
Incidently, I doubt many blokes have read this so ladies, I hope this will apply to you too. After all, it's only hair :-) Or is it? (I'm a bloke, I have no idea).

Advantages: Rids 'dulling' mineral deposits - leaving hair looking beautifully blonde! Cleans hair well and makes it shiny, manageable and sweetly scented! Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than the 'average' shampoo!
