If you have read my previous ops on the Sheer Blonde range you will know how highly I rate these products. The Sheer Blonde Volume Enhancing Shampoo is another superb product to add to the list.
I discovered this product by accident, well my mum did. I was rushing around trying to pack for our family holiday and discovered to my horror that I had the tiniest drop of my Sheer Blonde shampoo left. My mum had popped round as she was taking my daughter into town so I asked her if she could buy me some shampoo on her travels. I explained what I wanted and she insisted that I write it down so that she would buy the correct product, I did as she asked and she returned with Volume Enhancing Shampoo !!. I had never heard of this particular product before but as it was John Frieda and of course Sheer Blonde it was bound to be excellent
The packaging is identical to the other shampoos in the range and costs the same too, £4.25 for 250ml. A giant clear toothpastetube style with the unmistakeable John Frieda and Sheer Blonde logos adorning the front. The Shampoo works in the same way as the regular highlight activating shampoo but it has the extra added boost of thickening the hair and adding body and shine. The shampoo is specially formulated for fine delicate hair that is difficult to style. The shampoo contains a revolutionary ingredient, white-grape complex which is made up of white grape extract and body-buildingamino acids. The claims to remove the darkening and dulling deposits left by hairspray that weigh down the hair are the same as the regular shampoo (which are true !!) as are the ingredients of lemon peel, camomile and sunflower seed extract. The shampoo is suitable for all manner of blondes too be you natural or bottle blonde !
I was impressed by the claims of the bottle and was eager to try out this unique product for my self. Although my hair was not lifeless and difficult to style it has become fine due to colouring and the almost daily torture of straightening so a little extra oomph wouldn't go amiss.
The shampoo is clear and yellowish and has a thicker consistency than the regular shampoo but has the same familiar lemony 'clean hair smell'. The shampoo lathers up well with rich soapy bubbles and is easily rinsed away leaving the hair soft and smooth and easy to comb through even before conditioner is used. As the cleansing agents are only very mild the shampoo is gentle enough for daily use. Even though I had tried and trusted the Sheer Blonde range I was dubious as to whether the product could live up to the claims, however after only one week of use I had noticed a significant change to my hair. It had to be significant as hubby mumbled something on the lines of ' your hair looks different, nicer'. RESULT !! As I straighten my hair the results were actually far more noticeable than I had expected and my hair had a fuller appearance and had more body. I was delighted with the results. The highlights in my hair were indeed enhanced and activated they were shimmering and glistening through my newly thickened hair. I was amazed.
I have decided to stick with my newly discovered product as I have been truly amazed with the results. If you don't believe me then check them out for yourself. There is a phone number on the bottle for more information, 0800 975 9715, or alternatively you could visit www.johnfrieda.com Brunettes do not despair as I have also discovered that John Frieda has also launched a range of Brilliant Brunette shampoos and hair care products and if the Sheer Blonde products are anything to go by there will soon be an army of 'brilliant brunettes' hot on our heels.

Excellent op! I like the John Frieda range, though my hairdresser almost passed out when I told her I used it (my coloured hair wasn't in very good condition).... so I started to use the Wella prods as recommended by hairdresser. Certainly the Wella has kept my hair in better condition, but it is expensive, so cheat and use the Freida Shampoo & Conditioner on alternative hair washes ... or I use a bit of both! Lou x
