John Lewis is a department store with 29 shops around the UK. They offer a wide range of high quality goods in departments such as: gifts, lighting, pictures, china and glass, linens, haberdashery, furnishing and fabrics, womenswear, lingerie, beauty, nursery, menswear, audio, toys and kitches/kitchenwear.
Within the store they stock not only their own range of goods but also other branded names such as, Jigsaw, Joules, Levi and Warehouse in clothing, Bobbi Brown, Clarins and Clinique in the beauty section and Bose, Apple and Canon in electricals.
As you can acertain they sell a wide range of products from knitting needles and wool to high end audio systems. All items are of great quality and if anything falls below the standard you will expect they have a great returns and refund policy with a flexible 28 days. They will even return something without a receipt as long as it is in a saleable condition. They also offer postal exchanges, whereby they will send refunds via a cheque in the post for people who can't get into John Lewis to return an item.
If an item is not in stock you have the option to order it in taking around two to three weeks maximum, option for charge and send, meaning if an item is not in stock it will be sent via free postal service to a customers house from another John Lewis store which does have the item in stock. If you want to come back for an item you are also able to reserve them for a period of time agreed between you and the store.
Staff are always friendly and courteous, willing to help you with any queries you may have. They are quick to offer other services available such as collection point, where you can shop in various departments in the store and have all you items which you purchase at different till points sent to collection point so they are all in one place and you don't have to carry large items around. A gift wrapping service is also available should you want it.
Overall this is a very pleasant and enjoyable shopping experience which has no drawbacks for me therefore I'm giving it a 5/5.
