John Lewis Direct, online store

Ordered two 2 seater sofas for my daughter - got call and text sayig they would be delivered on Sat 14th Nov - nothing! Numerous calls all of which resulted in 'we'll call you back'. None of hese call backs ever happened. Same again the next week, call and text confirming delivery would take place on Sat 21st Nov. Guess what - still nothing so again numerous phone calls and a different person each time! Still waiting for an explanation and definitive ...
...lost in the warehouse. Difficult to believe that two two seater sofas can just get 'lost'. Biggest gripes are:- 1. Different peron every time you call. 2. Promised call backs never happen - it is up to you as the customer to chase. 3. Items appear on the account and interest is accruing when they can't even find the things! ...

John Lewis brands itself as a good old fashion department store where the customers are their top priority and so consequently you assume paying over the odds they would live up to this. I certainly did not find this the case and frankly it would have been easier, and cheaper, to go to Mothercare and buy the stuff myself! ...

In my opinion this is the first website which has cancelled everyone of my orders the first time stating that it has failed security checks and that too after 5 hrs when you are expecting to receive the item. You have keep following up with them for each order and you will never know whether your order has gone through or not the first time. They have their own set of security checks which is something I have unheard of in any other website and this ...

We bought a pushchair in August with a 1 year warranty. It broke, I expected huge amounts of stress with sending it back to the manufacturers (Silver Cross), especially as I hadn't bought it in store. I rang JL direct, they were fantastic and were going to send me a new one next day and collect the broken one. I wasn't able to be in for the offered delivery window (7-1 or 2-9) so JL direct checked the stock of the replacement item in my local store ...
