---Why I Bought This---
Well firstly I have no baby in the hoUse any more but was ordering Tesco Baby Bath as it is curRently selling for 11p a bottle. As they had run out I was 'price matched' with bottles of Johnson's Baby Bath instead.
---The Brand---
Johnsons is an old long established brand from the 1880s.
---The Product---
Pale blue smooth and curved bottle of 500 mls and with a darker blue flip top lid.
The front label is a teardrop shape and with 'no more tears' written on it.
Marketed as 'everyday gentle cleansing'.
The back label states that it has a 'babyfresh' smell, is as mild as water to baby's eyes and is PH balanced.
'Johnson's - trusted by mums for over 100 years'.
Soap and araben free. The baby bath is made in Italy.
The product hs a shelf life of twelve months once opened and is thick and a bright blue transparent liquid.
---Varieties---
This is the basic baby bath liquid but Johnson's now manuFacture a wide variety of different bath products as well as the more traditional baby lotion and baby powder.
---Cost---
£2.76 for 500 mls - as compared to 11p for Tesco Eveyday brand.
---My Opinion---
This is the well-known baby bath that probably everyone has used at one time or another, and I would use i for my boys too.
The liquid is thick, clear and bright blue. Only a little is needed to creat some bubbles, but although it contains perfume I did not find hardly any smell with it - baby or otherwise.
There has been some controversy lately over Johnsons products and there is a response on theri website.
Personally I think the less artificial products you use on a baby the better, and baby's do not need very much in the way of cleaning products in the bath water - a tiny amount will do.
I have not delved into the controversy about the ingredients but as this has been a production sale for many years I would think it is reasonably safe to use on babys.
Only a little baby bath is needed to get a good lather and it does not make your skin feel dry or tight. I would think it was mild enough for most skins.
This does not smell at all to me, but the less perfume in it the better as far as babies are concerned.
---Star Rating---
5 stars - a well established trusted old brand.
---Would I Recommend?---
Yes - but it is expensive and I am sure cheaper products are just as good - but would you risk them on baby?
