Johnson's Baby Lotion has got to be one of the most versatile products around, and it has been around for absolutely ages! I'm a beauty-whore, as my sister calls it, and this is the one product I'm loyal to, so it must be good!
It comes in it's distinctive pink rounded bottle, with a secure flip-lid. It can be bought in various sizes, but mine cost about £1.99, I think, for 300ml.
This promises to be 'the most effective way to remove oily substances that water alone cannot and leave skin clean and babysoft'. It is mild enough for newborn babies, is enriched with protective ingredients and 'works in harmony with the skin'.
The lotion itself is quite thin and pink, the same colour as the bottle, and has the typical Johnson's smell. If you've never used these products before, the smell is very light but sweet, but not in a sickly way. It's really homely to me, and reminds me of when I was little!
I use this primarily as a body lotion, and it works amazingly well. It absorbs quickly and easily, which is great if you're in a hurry. My skin is left feeling lightly scented, moisturised and silky-soft and smooth with very little effort! This stuff always makes me feel really confident when I've shaved my legs and smothered them in this lotion, as it makes such a huge difference!
I have never experienced any irritation with this product, and I doubt anyone ever will! If it's mild enough for babies, it'll be mild enough for you! I was worried that it would be too weak to make any difference to my skin, but trust me, it does.
You only need a small amount of this so it is quite economical, but you do need a bit more around the back of knees and elbows, but even so, it's less than what you need with other moisturisers! Your skin really does feel babysoft after usage!
If you're feeling hot and sweaty, and have no time for a shower/bath, put on some deodorant, then apply this to instantly refresh and cool you down! I've done this once or twice and it immediately makes me feel cleaner and more confident.
It also works brilliantly as a cleanser when I'm feeling lazy and can't be bothered with my usual foaming cleanser! Squirt a little bit onto a cotton wool pad and then wipe over your face. It takes off make-up and dirt efficiently and with little effort. I prefer wash-off cleansers as it makes me feel cleaner, but I don't see why this can't be used as a cleanser on a regular basis.
I tried using it as conditioner once... not on purpose you understand! I got shampoo into my eyes, and my eyes had gone blurry, and I reached out for my conditioner but I picked up this instead!
It didn't do anything to my hair as far as I can see - it did feel marginally softer and there were less flyaways, but that was it. I'd use this as a conditioner again if I didn't have anything else, but it isn't up to much, to be honest! Never mind, it makes a great moisturiser/cleanser/substitute for a bath, and you can't have everything, can you?!
You can see why this is so popular. It's cheap, versatile, and it's a product people trust because it's been around so long!

i used this on my little boy but have sinced changed to the boots own brand as it's thinner and less greasy on the skin!

I was using this for years but have recently changed to another brand as my skin was becoming very dry. Shame, I really liked the smell of my Baby Lotion. Vikki

Good op. I hadn't thought about using this myself, and I am always looking for an effective body moisturiser. Not sure if I'd want to smell of babies though! Hannah
