Ok, a bit of a strange product for 16-year-old girl to be writing about I hear you saying! But, no seriously, I haven't had a baby, kidnapped one or bought one from the Internet, I use it for myself!
I remember the first time I used it, (except when I was a baby of course) I must have been 11 or 12, the house was full of baby products since my little sister was still a baby, I was bathing her one night, and being an inquisitive girl I wanted to try some too! I poured it all over my arms and managed to get more on the floor than on me, but you get the point! Ever since then i’ve always had a bottle and I use it on and off.
The bottle has not changed much over the many years it has been around, it is one of the most famous brands of baby care and is said to be “the brand UK health professionals prefer”. I certainly am no health professional, but I know a good moisturised when I feel one!
Because this product it is made especially for babies it has to be sensitive, which means it is great to rub in after a shower to keep your skin moisturised and it is great to use as a day cream. However if you have very dry skin for any reason it take a while to rub in enough to take effect immediately.
The bottle is light pink and has the ‘Johnson's’ logo on the front label at the top, underneath it has ‘baby lotion’ written in the same dark blue colour. In the middle of the front it has a pink ribbon with blue writing saying ‘Mildness’ and the ribbon is circled with the word ‘Clinically proven’. At the bottom it has the ‘Johnson + Johnson’ logo once more with the volume of the bottle at the bottom, mine is a 300 ml, but you can buy it in all sizes if your just thinking of trying it. The back has some interesting information on it; it explains how to best use the product for a baby and then how to best use it for you, as the mother or another adult I am guessing. The rest on the back
Baby lotion has a very distinct sweet smell, which reminds me strangely enough of babies, it is a memorable scent and I quite like it. It has a smooth and soft texture, but it is undeniable creamy as it is a cream!
So you rub it into your skin when ever you would moisturise and, well, to no surprise it moisturises your skin, its no miracle and not worth spending a huge amount of money on, but it is a perfectly good moisturiser for people who just need something to regularly moisturise their skin!
Make sure you don't put it in your eyes and I wouldn't recommend removing eye- make up with it cause it gets in your eyes though it works brilliantly to remove any kind of make up, it is also great for removing face paint, gentle and no rubbing.
Now, the price, I have seen this product priced anywhere from between £1 to £4, but there are lots of own brands, which I am sure work as well. You can buy it from most supermarkets and places that sell beauty products.
Thanks for reading my op, hope someone finds it useful, Loz >:)
