The first version I bought was the camomile one which I did finish some time ago and now I am currently using a different version I bought in Italy (which I never saw round here) called Fresh Blossoms or "Fiori Freschi". I love looking at beauty products in other countries as sometimes they stock versions we do not have in here, just to give you an idea I get a caffeine-free version of Coca Cola when I go to Spain or Italy as they do not have it here, I am very sensitive to caffeine an it gives me palpitations therefore I need to avoid it. The version they have in the UK is caffeine-free but it is diet also and it tastes disgusting, the version I get from other countries is just caffeine free and tastes just like the real thing!
The reason why I use baby oil is not mainly because of its moisturizing properties, which we all very much know of, but because I do wax to remove my hair and the type of wax I use is not hydro-soluble (soluble in water) but gets dissolved with oil, therefore when I need to remove any residue from my skin I need to use an oil based product or even better (and cheaper) just baby oil.
When I used to use the ordinary liquid one (I have also tried the aloe vera version which smelled absolutely lovely) the resullts I got where obviously what I wanted but I would encounter a few problems: if I pour it in my hands so that I could rub it straight onto my skin it would sometimes drip through my fingers and leave my hand very greasy and the floor messy, otherwise if I would use a cotton pad it would be a bit better (although sometimes the pad would break if the wax I tried to remove was rather thick) but it meant I had to also use cotton pads in this routine. This new item changed all of that!
USE ************* I am sure you all know very well how to use baby oil, you don't need a Ciao member to tell you ;-) but apart from spicing up your bedroom (just a suggestion!) or giving a massage after a tense day or injury it could be used straight after your shower if your skin is very dry, in my case I use it to remove excess wax of my skin but what makes this product so special is that you can squeeze it in your hand and use straight away with no mess and no fuss! It does keep your skin moisturized and hydrated and the smell is very delicate both in the camomile version or the fruit blossom one. It is a delicate smell which is not over-powering and vanishes after possibly 10-15 min. I have heard some people use it as a make up remover but not really sure if that would be gentle enough for our skin or might clog our delicate face pores. Another use (and this is a mad one which I would not reccomend to anybody) is to use this when you want to have a very good tan. When I used to live in Italy in my teeneger days, once I would get a good tan base and knew I would not burn, I would use this product, obviously without any SPF whatsover, directly on my skin and face and it works wonders!! Luckily I have not had any damage but my older maturity tells me that if I want to tan well I can use a good tanning oil with some protection inside on my body and a lotion with a higher factor on my face. The most obvious use of this product is on babies, hence the name "baby oil", and here I have to send my deepest apologies to parents out there as I am not a mum yet therefore I would not like to say rubbish but I believe that is used again to keep the moisture on babies' skin. In this case I believe you should use a cotton bud and put the product in there as you don't want to overdo-it on your child and end up having a slilppery baby!
PACKAGING AND PRICE ************ This product comes in a plastic transparent packaging which allows you to see the product through and know when you are nearly running out of it, the cap of the product is made of harder plastic yellow in the camomile version and orange in the fresh blossom one. This product stands on its head like some of our shower gels on the market and contains 200 ml of product, a bit less of an ordinary shower gel which instead is 250 ml. At the front you can easily read Johnson's baby oil, then underneath it specifies which version it might be. on one side you have a picture of a lock with a number 10 written and a claim saying that it locks 10 times more moisture.
At the back you have the usual advertising statements saying that is has been created for babies but it is optimum for adults, you have a list of ingredients with paraffinum liquidum in the first place and it claims that the plastic is PET a type that I am aware can be easily recycled.
To my surprise I could not find this product listed in www.boots.com, it looked as if they would not stock it and when instead I went to www.tesco.com they only had the original camomile version priced at £2.77.
Price is definitely more expensive than a normal Johnson's oil, £1.94 for 300 ml and £2.54 for 500 ml, the special Aloe Vera one is £ 1.99 for 300 ml... furthermore if you went for the Tesco brand 250 ml is only £0.66! BARGAIN! The gel version is a bit expensive, I admit it, but in my case a bottle of this lasts me a very long time possibly a year but if people use this quite a lot then a cheaper version could probably make more sense to your purse!
FURTHER INFO *********** Johnson's is a brand that cares for baby, they do all sorts of products: bath products with induce baby to sleep, the hugely famous talcum powder introduced in 1890, wipes, shampoos and conditioners which do not irritate baby's eyes with their "No more tears formula". If you browse at their website their are rather proud of their heritage and apparently they claim they have been trusted by parents, doctors and nurses for more than 100 years, which does make sense to me (although I am not 100) as I recall my mum using their products on me when I was very little. If you need more info on this brand please feel free to log on to www.johnsonsbaby.com, their website is very cute with images of babies and parents and very user-friendly as well
OPINION *********** I feel this product is very innovative and much user friendly than normal oil simply because of its consistency it means it does not go anywhere you don't want it to, it doesn't drip and leaves you with a messy bottle with drips and sticky fingers. As mentioned it is more expensive to buy but in my case as I do not use much it has not a huge impact on my economy. You can store this product in which ever position you want and it will not drip or open and I would not feel that comfortable with the normal liquid version. The results you obtain are exactly the same, so for that I would reccomend this item but I suppose it more depends on how fussy you are as a person when using it. By the way I have also seen a spraying version of their baby oil around so I might give that a try as well!
Another Johnson`s product I have recently tried and tested is their `Baby Oil Gel with Camomile`.
I saw this is Boots some months ago, but it has taken me until now to get around to writing this Op.
It was nearing the time of my holiday and I wanted something nice for after my shower. Sometimes the change in water on holiday can leave your skin feeling a bit different, plus the sun rays tend to dry you out a lot.
It comes in a clear easy to hold ... ...almost bubbly looking liquid inside. My 200ml bottle cost me £2.79.
Before packing this I decided to try it out first. I washed in the normal way i.e. sponge and shower gel/soap. I then proceeded to follow the instructions on this bottle and applied a small amount whilst still in the shower. I disliked the feeling this gave me instantly, but decided to bear with it. I got out of the shower and patted myself dry. OK, so my skin felt soft and smooth, ...

I have been using Johnson's & Johnson's baby products for as long as I can remember. I have sensitive dry skin and find their products have been great for my skin.
I recently spotted their BABY OIL GEL and thought I would give it a go.
I have used the BABY OIL and loved the results it gives, so I couldn't see why I wouldn't like this.

Advantages: Easy to use. Doesn't drip and run everywhere like the oil. Leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. Attractive packaging. Disadvantages: The price. It is a new product out, so the price is relatively high at the moment.
I like it when new products come out, which means when I see something I haven’t seen before, I have to buy it. Having used Johnson’s products before, and having always liked them, I had to buy this. **********************PACKAGING***********************

Advantages: really does leave skin feeling baby soft and smells great Disadvantages: none
Imagine my surprise when my fella came home from work and handed me a bottle of Johnson`s baby oil gel because lets face it, it not the sort of thing you would expect a guy to be thinking about. As it turns out he wasn`t thinking about our baby at all but that is a different story.
Well I thought that I would have to try it as he had bought it and I really like johnson`s baby stuff normally. And I am happy to say that johnson`s never cease to amaze ... ...a little bit on my body my skin really did feel baby soft, so much that I couldn`t stop rubbing my body ( Arms and legs I mean, not trying to be rude here.)
So now I want to tell you all about this great product.

Advantages: Nice Looking Packaging, does soften skin Disadvantages: greasy, hard to open and expensive
I decided to try Johnsons Baby Oil Gel (with camomile), as i love the way baby product leave your skin, but don't like the overpowering fragrance of johnsons products.
I was impressed when i saw the adverts, they claimed that not only did it leave skin super soft by locking 10 x more moisture than other lotions, but also claimed it to be non-greasy, and easy to use!!
So, off i popped down to Superdrugs, where i think i paid £3.04 for what seemed ... ...night i though i'd have a bash, after my shower. Knowing it was oil, i thought i had better stay sat on the edge of the bath so i didn't spill on the new bathmats!! HUGE MISTAKE!!
The first down side was the cap, it's quite stiff and after struggling with the cap for a few minutes (not made for people with long nails!) it finally popped open.
I squirted a relatively small amount on my hand, about the size of a 50p, and started applying onto damp ...

Advantages: Leaves Baby Silky Smooth To The Touch. Disadvantages: Must Be Applied Right After Bath Or You Will Have A Slightly Sticky Baby.
I was given JohnsonsBabyOilGel Lavender as a gift during my baby shower and, after using the product for the first time I can tell you I will purchase again in the near future
The JohnsonsBabyOilGel Lavender helps lock in moisture so your skin will stay soft and silky smooth all day. This product contains a fast absorbing formula that won't leave a greasy after feel. Also this product has been dermatologist and allergy tested.
What I like most about this product is that it helps prevent chafing and getting rid of skin rashes on my baby while leaving her silky smooth. I also love the Lavender scent that isn't overbearing and helps calm baby down before bedtime.
What I didn't like about this product was it is best applied right after a bath otherwise you may end up with a slightly sticky baby. ...
Advantages: will leave your skin super smooth, a little goes a long way Disadvantages: takes a while to sink in
You may have used the standard JohnsonsBabyOil before, whether on an actual baby; or for some kinky reason (please do not leave comments on the review with the various uses I'm sure some people have for this)!
Johnson's BabyOilGel is basically the same product but better!
It comes in a flip top, easy to use, 200ml bottle. Cost varies from shop to shop but on average costs £2.99. It' s available form all chemists/supermarkets.
A friend recommended this to me and I was not convinced when I first picked up the product in my local Boots.
However, I was pleasantly surprised. Baby products are tested to be kind to babys' skin and so, are very user friendly.
In the past I have always opted for a shops' "own brands" of baby bath/shampoo which are usually cheaper. But?this product is fantastic.

*A REVIEW OF JOHNSON'S BABYOIL*
*THE COMPANY*
Johnson's make a variety of products including shampoos, gels and oils. All of these are designed to be kind to baby skin and so are popular for use among mums for their little ones! However, they can be used on adults too, in order to give soft skin just like a baby's.
I first came across this product through the television adverts years ago promising 'best for baby, best for you'. It has been around for as long as I can remember and is a staple in many households.
So one day, whilst out buying a new moisturiser, I decided to pick this up as well and see what improvement it could make to my skin.
*THE PRODUCT*
