You may have used the standard Johnsons Baby Oil before, whether on an actual baby; or for some kinky reason (please do not leave comments on the review with the various uses I'm sure some people have for this)!
Johnson's Baby Oil Gel is basically the same product but better!
It comes in a flip top, easy to use, 200ml bottle. Cost varies from shop to shop but on average costs £2.99. It' s available form all chemists/supermarkets.
A friend recommended this to me and I was not convinced when I first picked up the product in my local Boots.
However, I was pleasantly surprised. Baby products are tested to be kind to babys' skin and so, are very user friendly.
In the past I have always opted for a shops' "own brands" of baby bath/shampoo which are usually cheaper. But…this product is fantastic.
The yellow capped, clear bottle means that the gel (a thick clear gel with baby oil infused into it) is on display, so you know when you're about to run out. You can also buy it with added camomile (to sooth your skin) for the same price.
I don't use it in the same way as baby oil (as an everyday moisturiser after having a shower/bath), because it's thicker and stays on your skin for longer.
Instead I use it after shaving my legs and the results are amazing. It seals the moisture into your skin even more and the ladies reading this (and possibly some guys too) will know that usually the effects of shaving your legs are short lived - after a day or so the smoothness goes. This either means having to grow your hair long enough to have it waxed (a pain …..literally) or use messy depilatory creams.
How to Use *********
The way to get the most out of this product is:
1. After showering/bathing DO NOT dry your skin 2. Squeeze a small amount of gel into your hands and gently smooth over your legs (or area of skin). 3. Pat skin with a towel (to wipe of excess moisture (but don't rub it) 4. Marvel at your super smooth pins
The results last for a couple of days. Also, when I have used it as a moisturiser it does give your skin a healthy sheen.
The last time I used it, some random guy in a bar (without any beer goggles) brushed my arm and asked me what was on it saying my skin felt "amazing." Ok... it was a lame chat up line - but he did seem genuinely impressed.
I would give a thumbs up to this product - especially with summer coming!
Boots/Sainsbury's often have buy one get one free offers on this - so keep a look out for offer!
