I have been using Johnson's Products for many years, on myself and my two children and never had any problems.
I have always used the baby lotion to take off my make-up as this was the only thing that didn't make my skin sore, I have never suffered from sensitive skin in the past.
I recently bought a 500ml bottle, as I had only a small amount left in the old and Asd'a was doing a special offer, buy 2 Johnson's products for price of 1. When I used the new bottle to take my make-up off that night, around my eyes I felt a stinging sensation. I never really thought much of it until I went to use it the following night and the same thing happened. I immediately looked on the bottle and noticed `New Formula' written on the top of it. When I smelt the bottle it was also slightly different, a little more perfumed. I started to get quite concerned and telephoned a few people that I knew used the product and found that one had not bought the new formula and the other had used it on her legs and it had bought her out in a rash, so she had stopped using it. This really concerned me so I went onto the website listed on the back of the bottle. I sent them a message in the `Comments' box, explaining what had happened to me. I immediately received an e-mail back from them telling me to consult my doctor!!!! I was very angry and all I could think about is not using it on my 2 children aged 22 months and 4 years and what if anyone else was using it on their children, especially on babies that could not tell you if it was affecting them. I then called the telephone number on the back of the bottle and spoke to a very helpful lady whom advised me that there had been lots of complaints about this formula. I asked her why they could not go back to the old foruma and she told me that due to legal reasons they could only keep trying to improve the new. She said she would send me an envelope to send the bottle back and would then send me `alternatives'. I received a letter from them apologising and a form to fill in to send to my doctor for them to refer me to a `dermatologist', so they could test me to see what ingredient I was allergic to. This really annoyed me as it is not myself that is the problem it is the product. I have never been allergic to anything in my life. Should products specifically targeted at babies be mild?. I have since put a note on the board at my daughters pre-school making parents aware that this may cause a problem and also left the telephone number for them if they have any worries.
I have always been 100% happy with Johnson's products and will probably still buy them, mainly for myself.
This review I have done is not to put people off of buying this product but to be aware of this `new formua' and to test it on themselves maybe before using it on their children.

This sucks totally. I have used this since I was a kid and have stopped using it since they "improved" the formula! They still make the old one in India so when my parents go there every year I get them to bring me back a few bottles and I get some myself when I go too... There's a saying "if it aint broke, don't fix it" - have no idea why they changed the formula and the beautiful scent GRRR!

I don't have kids but I'll certainly make my friends aware of the potential problem. x
