What made me choose it? Apart from the obvious reason - it's from the Johnson's baby range - it's actually really cheap too! With this primarily being a baby soap, it's quite unlikely that anyone with no known allergies will have an allergic reaction, although, as with all products of this kind, it's not impossible for this to happen.
This soap is really mild, it's what I've used on both my kids from when they were newborn, and it has always cleaned really well (as well as any other soap I've ever used). I have never noticed any dry patches on their skin after using it, and I've had no complaints (apart from the usual "Get off me I wanna play!") So, overall, for the kids, it's great!
I also use this soap myself, and don't buy any other soap for the family! One reason is: why buy two different kinds of soap for the family when Johnson's is just as good, or probably even better, than any other brand I could use?! Another, well, I'm particularly fussy about what I use on my face... I'm prone to dry patches, and a lot of soaps just make it worse, so I turned to cleansing wipes, until I tried Johnson's baby soap! It's actually so mild, it cleans my skin (and takes off all of my eye makeup!) and leaves my skin really soft, without any dry patches! This is actually a first for me, when even Dove soap is a bit too harsh for my skin!
Obviously with it being so gentle, you'd expect it to have a really light fragrance, and it does. No 'cheap soap' smell, just a gentle fragrance, a bit like all the other baby smells you'd expect from Johnson's products.
Then there's the lather... it lathers slightly less than other soaps I've tried, but that's completely understandable, seeing as it's meant to be used for baby, and you don't want all those bubbles and lather getting into baby's eyes, but still plenty of lather all the same!
I guess the only down-side to this soap is the fact it seems to run out really quickly! This might be down to the fact I use a bit more to get more of a lather! But then, for around 25p a bar (in the multipack), for a really mild soap, it doesn't matter if a bar lasts a few days less than another brand (to me anyway!).
Advantages: Mild; gentle; lightly scented; great value; does not dissolve quickly. Disadvantages: None
I swear by Johnson's Baby Soap. As I have 'problem' skin - as doctors call it because apparently I can't take the truth of 'irritating over-sensitive and untreatably bad skin'! - I have to be careful what soap I use.
Johnson's Baby Soap is very very mild. It has a mild scent and foams into a lovely soft lather.
Most importantly for me, it is sufficiently gentle that my skin does not react to it, unlike most others. Also, you can often find a four ... ...a bargain.
One other thing very much in its favour is that, unlikely many other gentle soaps, it does not dissolve into nothing in two seconds if you put it within three miles of water. This is a perennial problem with softer soaps but not here.
I know some people love to see an ingredient list - so for the chemists out there...
Sodium Tallowate, Water, Sodium Cocoate or Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide, Fragrance, Pentasodium ...

Advantages: protects soft skin, Disadvantages: if it gets in eyes, it can sting a bit
...old that we started using Johnsons baby soap. The main reason that we decided to buy it was because Johnsons is a brand that we trust and thought that the soap would be as good as other products that we have tried. The soap has added baby lotion in it. I have found that this added lotion does help to prevent my son getting any dry skin. If he does get a bit then it does help to rid those dry patches. Another good thing about this soap is the fact ... ...absolutly ages. You only need to use a tiny bit each night and it brings up your little monsters lovely rosey cheeks again, along with everywhere else! There is also a good lather when the soap is rubbed against a cloth. You can purchase a four bar pack of this soap. From Tesco, this pack costs £1.10, which I think is really good value. In my opinion this is because it is gentle on my sons skin, each bar lasts a long time and the soap gets my son ...

Advantages: Mild and Moisturizes Disadvantages: none
I use Johnsons baby soap because it is mild and does not sting or irritate sensative skin or sensative areas. It smells pleasant and does not dry your skin. If you use a wash ball there is plenty of creamy lather .It comes in two types Normal white mild baby soap and Pink With baby lotion which is even better for dry skin. You can get indidual ones for about 55p of a multi pack of four for £1.55. The normal white one does contain added moisturizer ...

I am very wary when it comes to using products on my baby, only want the best for him. That is why Johnson's baby soap is the best. It protects his baby skin, as its very gentle and sensitive to use. The smell is very pleasant and fresh, which makes it even better.

Advantages: Soft Lavender Smell and Winds Baby Down Before Bed. Disadvantages: Only Available In The Form Of Bar Soap.
I bought the JohnsonsBaby Creamy Soap With Lavender & Chamomile due to the fact that my daughter had problems sleeping through the night without being overly fidgetly. I can tell you this lavender soap is well worth purchasing.
The JohnsonsBaby Creamy Soap With Lavender & Chamomile is presented in a lavender covered wrapper with the Johnsons logo on it that contains the usual contents and product description.
JohnsonsBaby Creamy Soap With Lavender & Chamomile has a easy to grip shape and produces a rich creamy lather to help soothe and moisturize your baby's skin.
The reasons why I like this product is because it helped calm my very active baby down before bedtime and the smell is very pleasing soft lavender smell that is not overpowering like other lavender soaps.
The only reason I didn't like this soap was because it is ...
Advantages: makes skin soft and smooth, pleasant smell, easy to use Disadvantages: can be quite messy on application
Johnsons are a well known, recognised company for baby products. Their ranges include shampoos, bubble baths, washes, lotions, soaps and even cotton buds.
I buy the original baby powder in the 500g size from Tescos for £1.57, although there is a smaller size (200g) currently at £0.97p. They also stock a Baby bedtime powder, for 400g with the price is £2.69.
Ingredients are talc and parfum, with the only serious warning to keep away from a babys' nose and mouth. It is perfect for after a bath, not just for baby but for adults as well. The skin is soft and smooth after application and is in no way sore or irritated after use.
The smell is, for me, a major selling point. It gives off that "baby smell" and lasts for hours.
Howver, the bottle it comes in has a sprinkle top, easy enough to open and close, although quite messy when ...
Advantages: Fresh, clean and skin softening Disadvantages: Leaves white marks on clothes if your not careful
I very rarely use baby products. I mean I have no baby I can steal from in the vicinity so I don't buy it lol However I've been using a fabulous body scrub that does as it says. It brings out impurities. Unfortunately for me its resulted in my back being covered in spots and feeling really, really greasy. After all the impurities have to surface somewhere! However it's left me feeling rather itchy so I've discontinued use of almost everything fragranced I use and a couple of days ago I went out to Sainsbury's deliberately to buy some 'pure' products so I bought some rather stinky coal tar soap and some Johnson's baby Powder. I'm going back to basics lol
The idea is to have a bath or shower at night and to cover me self in this, top to toe to help combat this oil slick effect on my body I'm getting! In my mind the powder must sop up ...
