The blurb on the back tells me that this will make children want to wash, and that the fact that it’s so gentle means that it’s suitable for frequent washing.

Johnson Junior Handwash
Marketed at getting even reluctant bathers and hand washers into the bathroom, children will undoubtedly be impressed with the marketing on this one. Inspired by the sing along song for the shampoo, we had to have this.
The blurb on the back tells me that this will make children want to wash, and that the fact that it’s so gentle means that it’s suitable for frequent washing.
The product itself comes in a kind of blue/turquoise bottle containing 250ml of the stuff and not surprisingly has one of those push down applicators to get the handwash out. I say not surprisingly, because most hand washes come like this, and who wants grubby hands picking up a bottle to get to the wash only to have it fall out of them?
Press down the applicator and out comes the handwash; it really is so simple a child could use it…that’s after mum has had the unenviable job of turning the applicator this way and that to loosen it up, or whatever it needs to have done to it to ensure the stuff comes out!
The handwash itself is a foam with a fruity smell and it does feel all light on my hands. Rub it in to commence the handwashing, and we are surprised at just how foamy it gets. So, lots of fruity smells to encourage the ablutions. Rinsing off is as simple as it should be given that the main focus is children, simply place fruity hands under tap and the foam will wash away, leaving not a lot of tide marks on the sink, but a fair bit of foam round the plug hole.

~~My Verdict~~
It being made by Johnsons, and because I invariably like and trust their products, I was willing to be sold on the idea, so didn’t take much convincing to buy it.
The handwash is easy to use, smells nice and fruity and is in fact very easy to rinse off, although the after effect is a very faint not unpleasant fruity smell- excellent so that I can check she really has washed her hands.
We have had a couple of these bottles of the product now, and one of the things which impressed me is that it doesn’t seem to dry out and get clogged towards the end of the bottle. This seems to go on till almost the last drop of foam, and then if you really want to be frugal, you can unscrew the top off and tip the rest onto hands.
One squirt of the product is enough to clean hands, and even young children can manage to press down the applicator with no trouble.
For an effective, pleasant smelling handwash, you can’t go far wrong with this one.
