I have been using Johnsons baby shampoo for 15 months now for washing my daughters hair. Now, she’s always been a grumpy little baby in the bath, and especially when I wash her hair, when the tears would flow readily. I just put this down to the fact that she doesn’t like her hair being washed, and nothing to do with anything else. Whenever I have washed her hair before, when it has dried, it always looks – well, not quite clean. I, again put this down to her being a very warm baby, and her head, more often that not is, well, sweaty. So I think you know the look I mean (rat’s tail effect, for those of you who don’t). I have now discovered the real reason for her tears and it is this - after her hair has been washed – it looks c**p and SHE knows it!
I discovered this astonishing revelation a couple of weeks ago when we all went on holiday. To save space in the suitcase, I just took one of everything that we could all use, ie. soap, shampoo, and so the Johnsons baby shampoo was packed for us all.
Whenever I have washed her hair before, when it has dried, it always looks – well, not quite clean. I, again put this down to her being a very warm baby, and her head, more often that not is, well, sweaty. So I think you know the look I mean (rat’s tail effect, for those of you who don’t). When I came to wash my own hair on holiday, it just didn’t feel right on the first rinse – it still felt ‘acky’. So I gave it a second go. At this point I would also like to mention that it did not lather up particularly much. I could have accepted this to a degree for the first application, but not for the second. I rinsed the shampoo off, and again it felt there was something missing. Now all this could have been due to a couple of contributory factors. Namely:
We were at the seaside – the sun, sand and sea air does strange things to the hair. We were in a slightly hard water area – back home, we aren’t.
When my hair dried, it felt brittle and had the texture and appearance of straw. This may have been because I had forgotten to condition it, so I was still willing to assume it was my carelessness, or forgetfulness – call it what you will – and not the fault of Johnson & Johnson. I mean, when all said and done, how could it be? Johnson & Johnson are a well-known, and well-respected company throughout the world. Therefore, it must be me!
My partner always has beautiful hair when it is new washed (without conditioning it) and even he commented on how rubbish his hair felt and looked.
The next time I used it, whilst we were still at the seaside, I used 2 applications, and I conditioned it. This time it felt much better, more silky-smooth. When I came to dry my air, however, it was awful! Gone was the straw, brittle texture – it had been replaced by a chip pan, rats tail appearance. It just wouldn’t fluff up – it stuck firmly to my head and resembled something like a swimming cap with a fringe! I was not happy. Luckily, we were only going to be there for another couple of days, and for much of the time, we experienced quite a few downpours, so everyone on holiday had bad hair days and I didn’t feel so conspicuous.
Not willing to ‘dis’ the shampoo however, because of the contributory factors I mentioned earlier, I thought I would give it one last try when I got home. I am familiar with my own water, and how my hair should looked when it is new washed, so I tried the shampoo in a proper investigative way – I washed my hair on 2 separate occasions once with and once without conditioner. The results? Well for the time I washed it with, my hair again was brittle, but not strawlike this time. No, it was more dried grass like! The second experimental wash – my hair clung to my head and refused to budge!
So in conclusion, my little girl cries every time I use this shampoo on her. This is not because it stings or irritates her eyes (the plus side which I assume is the flaky reasoning behind their ‘no more tears’ claim) but because she knows that she is going to be out and about with rubbish hair! Anyway, we’re gonna have ‘lots more tears’ for a while yet, because I’ve still got buckets of the stuff left to get through! Oh and one more positive aspect to this product – it does smell nice and lemony fresh!
Now for the technical stuff or in layman’s terms, the ingredients:
I have had to check up on the price of this product, as I have never bought it (and never will). There must have been a 2 for 1 offer on at Boots or wherever, when my daughter was born. My friends, and many of my relatives, all saw fit to buy us gifts consisting of 2 bottles of the shampoo, along with 2 tubs of talc, a flannel, and so on. So the price at Asda (this morning) for a 300ml bottle is £1.89.
Advantages: Cleans your hair, doesn't irritate the scalp, NO MORE TEARS!!! Disadvantages: Slight chemical smell
What am I doing? I write opinions on computers, books etc and here I am writing an opinion about a shampoo! Why? Because I've just had a nice soak in a red hot bath, and I noticed the bottle on the side of the bath. It's supposed to be for my four year old, but I use it just as much.
All right, I admit, I use this shampoo 'cos I'm a bit of a wimp and can't stand getting stuff in my eyes. The thing is that shampoo's to me are just for cleaning your ... ...the skin from your eyeballs, then why can't other manufacturers.
This stuff is made specifically for babies, but as it says on the back of the label it's good for you too. It leaves my hair clean, soft (although it does have a tendency to make it a little airy-fairy fly away so to speak) and it doesn't irritate my scalp. I've used other shampoo's that caused my head to itch a great deal, and when I have an itch I have to scratch, until it bleeds.

Advantages: cheap and effective Disadvantages: very ordinary aroma
My hair is in the best condition it has ever been in. My hairdresser wants to know what wonder product I’ve been using since my very expensive clinique shampoo ran out. Well being a busy mother of two under threes I just haven’t had the time to get to boots recently and so I’ve used the first thing that came to hand. Which of course being a busy mother of two under threes is good old Johnson’s no more tears baby shampoo. Very ... ...starters who can resist the smell of freshly washed babies? Johnson’s shampoo might not have the beauty salon smell of the grown up shampoos but the aroma gives you that blissful maternal feeling. Funny how I get soppy about babies when my two are in bed!
However a shampoo is no good if all you get is a nice smell. Johnson’s shampoo lathers nicely and rinses easily away. And obviously, as the name implies, you don’t get sore eyes ...

...toiletries shelf I came across Johnsons no more tears baby shampoo that contains camomile extracts. The shampoo set me back a pricey £1.89 but its a big 300ml bottle and I know this will last for absolutely ages when using on a baby so a good investment if he is not allergic to the ingredients.
The reason I chose this shampoo was because it contains the ingredient of camomile extract and that is supposed to help keep the light colour of hair and ... ...use everyday on my son. It says on the cover that its a new improved no more tears formula and is as gentle to the eyes as pure water. Ideal for gently cleaning baby's delicate hair and scalp and is of course PH balanced. The shampoo itself comes is a clear bottle with a green top and is the colour that you usually associate camomile with , a lovely honey colour. It has the standard no more tears sticker on one side with the contents written on the ...

I don't have a baby or even a small child in my home anymore. My baby is 32 years old. However I do have very sensitive eyes and one little bit of soap getting into them can cause fits of tears and a bad burning in my eyes.
With this shampoo I don't have that problem and it laters well, rinses clean and makes your hair soft as a childs'.It also stops hair from getting the tangles and leaves it smelling baby fresh. Matter of fact I use many of their ... ...No more tears in my eyes

Clean and natural as can be
This shampoo is the one for me.
Okay maybe that is a bit corny but I had to add some thing to make it a tad different and that is what popped into my head.
If you haven't tried this on yourself I would recommend it, the shampoo that is not the poem. ...

Now the shampoo I'm reviewing isn't the one in the picture, but it is Johnson's no more tears baby shampoo. It is the normal yellow one that has being in the shops for years.
I noticed with our son, that if we used Johnsons' to wash his hair, he cried, but if we used Boots, he didn't. Now we've discovered the same with our daughter; wash her hair with this shampoo, and she cries. leave it out, and she doesn't.
Boots' baby shampoo, (labelled hypoallergenic) ...

EYE, EYE FOR JOHNSONSBABY SHAMPO0
Advantages: Pure and Mild
Disadvantages: Nil.
The hospital recommended this shampoo to me when I went to have my cataracts assessed. I did find it quite hard to find, but eventually got it in Sainsburys. As my eyes are very sensative at the moment I started to use it immediately and couldn't believe how mild and gentle it was. I not only use it to wash my hair, but use it on cotton wool buds to wash my eye lashes, which now also feel soft and silky. I would personally recommend this to anyone who has sensitive eyes or a dry skin. Even my hands felt silky after using this shampoo. I feel it is a bit expensive, but that is certainly outweighed by the overall advantages of the product. ...

JohnsonsBabyShampoo is one of those wonderful products that most will remember fondly from childhood.
For me Johnsons is a name that I know and can trust. I started buying this shampoo when I became a mother for the first time. Each bath time I now wash my son's hair with this product without fail. JohnsonsBabyShampoo leaves your baby's hair smelling clean and fabulous and feeling just as soft as silk.
JohnsonsBabyShampoo is packaged in a clear bottle and the shampoo itself is honey coloured. It contains a 'nomoretears' formula and is therefore kind on your baby's eyes. This product is soap free, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.
To use simply wet your baby's hair with a little warm water and then gently massage in some of the shampoo. Work into a lather and then rinse well. This product rinses away very easily ...
For years, the Johnson's name has been known as a reputable company in the field of baby products. In my house, just about all of the baby products my parents bought when me and the other four were little were Johnson's, ranging from "Nomoretears" shampoo, to, naturally, Johnson's baby lotion. However, although stating BABY in big letters on the front of the bottle, it's just as good for adults...
The bottle, I'm sure, is well-known by almost everyone - a pastel pink bottle with the name and brand in big blue letters. The bottle I have in front of me contains 200ml of the lotion, and retails at around £1.99, but it's also available in a 500ml bottle for only £2.99 - a bargain considering how many uses you can get out of a bottle.
The formula of this baby lotion seems to have changed considerably over the years - they're now ...
