Advantages: Kills Worms!! Disadvantages: Lots of tablets.
Apart from the nightmare of the dreaded flea, roundworms and tapeworms are your dogs next worst enemy.
Your dog needs to be treated for roundworm right from the first few weeks of its life. This can be done with syrup, granules or tablets from the Johnson’s range.
Tapeworms are normally only present when your dogs a little older.
When your dog is over 6 months of age it is best to use a ‘twin’ wormer about every 3 months. ...in a pack with 2 different tablets. You should have 8 of one-colour tablets and 6 of another. These tablets are to be given as a 3-week treatment.
The first thing you have to do is work out how much your dog weighs. I find the best way to do this is to weigh yourself on some bathroom scales, then pick up your dog and weigh the both of you. Take your weight from the total weight and you have your dogs weight.

On the back of the pack there’s a chart to show how many of each tablet to give your dog per dose according to the weight of your dog.
This particular product requires 3 weekly doses. So it is important to remember when you gave the first dose and remember to complete the 3-week treatment.
This product sells in most pet shops for around £2.50, which is very good value for money.
The only disadvantage of this product is that larger dogs require a lot of tablets in one go. That’s why people with large dogs or people that find it hard get lots of tablets into your dog should maybe pay a little more money for the ‘Easy Dose’ wormer available in the Johnson’s range. This requires just a couple of tablets to be taken just once.
I think overall these tablets are very good value for money and work well.

The sizes vary from half an inch to several inches long, the worms emerge when your pet passes motions or vomits. Did you know that roundworms are present in puppies and kittens when they are born? If you don't worm them, it could lead to serious illness. You will know straight away if a puppy is infected. The symptoms ...
