IS YOUR CHILD ... ...poster. In fact the whole Jolly Phonics scheme is fantastic- if your child is using Jolly Phonics in school, it makes sense to buy a few of the work books to practise at home. They are available at a good price on Amazon. It is also worth visiting the Jolly Phonics site at www.jollylearning.co.uk The site gives a lot of information about how to use the workbooks, as well as details about resources, training dates and a message board.

IS YOUR CHILD STARTING SCHOOL?
If your child is starting school this September, or indeed, is already in Reception, this poster would be ideal to stick on their bedroom wall. It gets your child used to seeing the letter shapes of large and small letters, as well as demonstrating each letter sound. You could concentrate on a particular sound or letter each evening, after bedtime story- games like 'Eye Spy' are perfect for introducing initial sounds. I have worked as a primary teacher for ten years and i really recommend this poster.
