I bought a bottle of this a few weeks ago as an alternative to the other normal aftershave I have in my collection. I decided to try something different and Joop is very different to other aftershaves. Unlike most aftershave which have a spicy aroma Joop is more like a perfume. I would say it has a blossom scent like a strong flower like fuschia but there is a fruity aroma also. It is very pleasant and refreshing to spray on in the morning. Image wise I would say it is more something you would use when going out at night to meet a girlfriend. The first scent (the strong flowery one) does not last long however so it is quite safe to spray a bit on after a shower in the morning, go and have breakfast and then get on a bus, the scent will not overpower anyone. The first scent gives way to a milder soapy type smell like what a perfumed soap would leave behind. I like an aftershave that lasts all day and although this is pleasant to use I would say it does not go the full length. At £34 a bottle it seems expensive but this sort of thing will last you a year or longer even with a good squirt every day. THe colour is an attractive dark pink in an attrractive purple/pink box but there are also other colours in the range for you to try out if you are interested.
