What has happened to Jordan?? I imagined that they would be up there with Maclaren and Ferarri last year scrapping for constructors points but instead they were propping up the also rans. Why was this?? Poor winter development? It hurt them so much that Eddie Jordan, the team owner, cancelled the Christmas Party. So what was the reason? The loss of Damon Hill (no way)? A bad Car? Engine? Well a combination I think The engine that Mugen delivered could not match the pace of the big boys. The BAR team had superior engines as they were works Honda units not customer engines like Jordan were subjected to. They always make nice looking motor cars and Trulli and Frentzen are no slouches off the grid so it had to be the car somewhere. This year they look a different kettle of fish. The hunger is back alongside dual Works engine deal with BAR. The car looks sleek and Frentzen looks back to his best. In the first race, Harry Heinz looked dangerous until Rubens took him out of the race. Eddie Jordan still puts a brave face on it but how long will he stay in the business before he gets disheartened and sells out to someone like Subaru who are keen to come into the Formula 1 arena.
