This review is about a cereal which has been created for those who want to be good about their diet, not necessarily about low fat intake but more about the quality of what they eat, it is in fact called "The Superfoods Granola" and it is made by Jordans.

As the name says "Superfoods" this hints to the fact that it contains ingredients which have been proven to contain hight levels of antioxidants which help the body in fighting cell damage caused by free radicals. These foods are meant to reduce the risk of cancer, they promote cardiovascular health and help agains degenerative deseases like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's for example.

Now I am not stating that if you do eat this cereal you will have a worry free life and you will live to be 100 years, between all the choices out there which include low-fat, high fat, extreme amounts of chocolate or bland flakes this is an option which is certainly colourful enough to put a smile on yr face, tasty enough to make you want to buy it again and good for your body and will certainly not make you feel guilty about your choice.

SUPER-BREAKFAST
**********
In my daily breakfast I tend to put half a portion of this Granola and half of healthy flakes I might find on offer (like the light ones from Dorset cereals which are currently £2). I do this because although this is very god for you I find this Granola very rich and still love the crunchiness of flakes (saying that Jordans has the same version of this cereal in flakes).

When I pour my soya milk in it and stir my cereal with the spoon the milk soon turns purple in colour. At first I thought this was very odd and I thought "oh no.. not sure if I am going to like it", but then the taste is not affected in any way, you soon get used to it.
I enjoy this product with straight from the fridge soya milk and it is absolutely delicious, I am sure milk, rice milk will give you the same tasty results!

SUPERPRICE
**********
Well this product does not come cheap, it is true the bag weights 750 gr but the normal price is £3.69. Luckily at the moment Tesco is offering a super discount on it which means it now comes half price and it is currently £1.84. If like me you might be a fan of this item it is best if you do stock up on it. The expiry date I am getting so far is end of March so you do have a few months to go. I suppose this is also a good way to find out if this is the right product for you, no point in spending £3.69 if you are not really sure about it.

SUPERSTORAGE INFO

Well this product comes in a foiled bag which unfotuntately is not re-sealable, considering it is quite big I am surprised they do not have a sticky tab you could re use or have one of those bags with the plastic line which opens and closes. Of course if you keep it open you lose the crunch over time and that is not very nice therefore you should find a way to keep it air tight. Another sensible thing is to keep it away from direct sunlight and somewhere dry as humidity will make it go soggy.

WHO IS SUPER-JORDANS?
**********
Jordans is based in Biggleswade in Bedfordshire for almost 150 years and they employ just under 400 people. They seem to be very proud of our heritage and passionate in their food making.

Jordans Cereals was set up by brothers Bill and David Jordan in the early 1970s when they launched The Original Crunchy (which is still one of their best cereals).

If you are a fan of their products you could visit Mrs Jordan's Mill Shop at Holme Mills, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. An 'Aladdin's Cave' of gifts, ingredients, gourmet foods and of course, their Jordans' product range. The shop is open Monday to Friday 09:30-13:00, 14:00-17:00 and Saturday morning 09:30-12:30, this is situated on the bank of the River Ivel, where you can also enjoy delightful riverside walks. SUPEROPINION!
**********
I feel this is a very good product, it is really yummy and it is full of goodness, it is rich therefore each mouthful is very satisfying. The acidity of the berries is balanced by the sweetness of the almonds and pumpkin seeds and each time you chew you are guaranteed a tasteful experience. Another thing I noticed is that I don't really go for elevenses when I have this for breakfast, I might eat a fruit but I am not bending myself feeling absolutely hungry straight after.
If you like healthy things in your diet this is definitely something you should try considering the offer Tesco is doing, you definitely can't let it go by especially as it turns out to cost even less than other cereals. I think this cereal might appeal to kids, I suppose if they only have been accostumed to coco pops it might be a bit of a struggle though!
For me this is a really good cereal and Jordans also offers the Superfoods as flakes, porridge option and now even a bar if you are on the go, these options are bound to please people with different needs and lifestyles!
Definitely worth a try!
