Jose Cuervo became the largest selling Mexican tequila in the early part of the last century by selling their tequila in bottles rather that casks, this meant that there was more scope for quality control over entire batches and that the Mexican men drinking knew that they would always get good tequila for their money. The symbol of Cuervo is the crow and this was put on the bottles so that the peasants, many of whom were illiterate ... ...cheaper side of the range, Jose Cuervo is a respected brand, that with its cheaper tequilas "does what it says on the tin". I would say however that it is worth spending a little extra and getting the "Tradicional" for a smooth, rounded tequial that lack the almost plastic-like finish you get with cheap tequila.

...happens when take shots of Jose Cuervo Tequila!! Its a smooth tasty tequila!! The price isn't to bad here we pay 140 ZAR per bottle it equiles $17. Per shot I pay about $1.5 in a pub. Its a nice drink you must take it with salt and a slice of lemon when you want to drink it as a shooter. It makes the flavour come out more. Its strong 45%. Jose Quervo the worlds most propular tequila apparentley. It comes in the usuall two types silver and gold. The Silver is really an entry level Tequila for people who are not yet ready for the more pungant taste of the gold, which makes it ideal for cocktails. Try this one 2 parts Jose Quervo Silver, 2 Parts Vodka and shake with ice and 4 parts pineapple juice then pour over 1 part Blue Bols, it will knock yer head off but it is the taste of the ... ...pungant flavours of Mezcal, tequila is like whisky an aquired taste. They ideal for knocking back the shots and as we know tequila is the only non-depressant alcohol until the morning after.
