This is one of those racing games just battling it out to become top dog, the seat currently held by need for speed, it has all the right stuff but the one thing it lacks is its free roam and police chasing. These are both missing from the game. It chooses to focus on crew races and winning parts for your car. That is also one of the main benefits of the game, it has various different parts for different cars, so you can fully customise your car and make each car individual. However you can do the opposite you can apply a crew scheme to make all of your cars look the same, this gives your crew a distinct look especially when playing against your friends on the AD-HOC mode, this is a poor point about the game, becuase although the idea is good you need four players to complete the mode, and there isn't really that many people with the game. This is a shame becuase it has the potential to be a great game. The career mode is so much different to that of need for speed, instead of going and finding the races and having to deal with civilian cars and police cars, it is just you and 1-5 other racers battling it out on the track to become the most repected racer. There is only one problem the cars are impossible to drive and becuase of that it can get very annoying, and you can find yourself not playing the game for ages. Antoher annoying point is that you cannot damage other racers cars for fear of losing reputation, so the game is somewhat less fun, becuase you are to busy avoiding hitting them to manage to overtake and win the race. However the sound choice on the game is not to bad and the same can be said about the graphics, but this comes at a price becuase the game takes ages to load. The arcade mode is much the same, it is you and a number of other racers battling through a series of events, to hone in your skills for career mode. The price of this game is not to high either, this is becuase of two main reasons; one it is a psp game, and two it has already been out a while. I would sya that becuase of this you could get the game for £10-20 easily. In conlcusion i would say that this game is for the serious racer because it takes a lot of time to master, but for the serious racer this is the game for you, becuase when you finsih the career mode you can still carry on and on racing, enjoy.
Advantages: Good Game, Game-Sharing Feature, Great Graphics, Disadvantages: Hard To Use While Travelling
I own this game and would recommend this game to people who like racing games. It is hard to control when moving in the car, etc ... because screen keeps shaking and you lose control of your car. After a while of playing, it gets really easy and you can win unlimited cars form pink slipping. Have not tried the new juiced, but hope it will be better than this one!
One good thing about this game is you can use the game - sharing feature so you can ... ...pretty cool if you are in a car or aeroplane and bored!
Much better on PS2, and if you have a PS2, Would recommend you get it on that than PSP!
Graphics are great, considering how big the psp is!
Gameplay is good, but after a while it gets very, very easy nad you end up getting bored, e.g. getting too much money so you can buy great cars and it is not much of a challenge! ...
