I know it's nearly winter, and you may be thinking "what the heck is he reviewing a slide for?" Well this thing can be used inside or out. Thank you Smoby, oh thank you thank you thank you. Assembly.
It comes in probably the easiest to assemble kit that I have ever seen. 5 pieces of colourful plastic. Yep, just 5. If you hate the anxious looks and tears that follow the "Daddy will put it together in a minute Honey" sentence, then this slide is for you. No tools required. The two steps and sides just drop into a keyhole shaped hole and click into place. Colour.
The one we picked ...

Advantages: Folds Up! Used indoor OR outdoor!! Disadvantages: None
We have just bought this Smoby Folding Slide for our now 2year old daughter. I spotted it firstly, in Toys R Us. Then on looking in the Argos book, found it in there too. Both the same price!
**PACKAGING**
The slide comes in a large, brown, cardboard box with a large label on the front of it with a picture of the slide. The slide comes flat packed in 5 individual pieces and a instruction leaflet with a step by step diagram on assembly. The pieces ... ...Purple/Lilac
* The Side section x 2. Colour:- Lime Green
* The Steps x 2. Colour:- Orange
**ASSEMBLY**
My partner put this slide together. Typical man, he didn't look at the assembly instructions to put it together because he said it was common sense. That's saying alot for him so it must have been easy. Basically, you attach the slide front to the side pieces, which clip down into place. Then you place each of the steps into the appropriate ...

Advantages: my son loves it Disadvantages: it's a little high off the ground
...to offer.
Now, the junior folding slide was in the 'outdoor toys' section, and I new I wouldn't be able to get him out in the garden anytime soon what with the weather, but this one seemed compact enough to keep and use in the house until the summer, if we ever get one here in Scotland.
Anyway, back to the product, I watched in dismay as my partner tried to build it on Christmas eve, complaining that it was 2 left sides we had been given, why do ... ...insructions. As it turns out it took me all of 5 minutes to click together after reading the leaflet that came with it. It was very easy to build, simply 'click' the 2 sides on and turn them to lock in place, then 'click' on the rungs to the steps. Easy peasy.
My First Impressions..
Very bright and colourful, I knew right away it would be one of the first things to catch my sons eye in the morning.
Very sturdy, which is great as I didn't want ...

This is a brilliant sized slide for a wee one, and it is durable too. My son got this slide for his second birthday, he is now 3 and still uses it, as well as my 5-year old niece! So it is durable and good-lasting. (I had thought my son would be bored of a small slide when I got him a bigger one this year, but he still uses it). It is bright colours so it is also a good visual for wee ones. When you buy it, it is still in the box so you have to assemble ... ...Children should be supervised on the slide, although it is quite small so if they do fall they probably won't be too badly hurt.
The slide folds so it is easy to take in and out, or easily stored away.
The price of the slide is very reasonable too - about £18.99.
The age range is from about 2-4, although some of my son's friends came round for his second birthday and were on it (a few were between 18months and 2yrs). As long as they are supervised ...

Advantages: Indestructable Disadvantages: An invitation to jump off
I bought this slide for my sons 2nd birthday, although he didnt really start to use it until about 2.5yrs. He has just recently turned 3 and can't get enough of it. And is for both indoor & outdoor use.
The slide look pretty darn good, not overcrowded with colours, which is a great start to teaching your little treasure. It also helps your child develope coordination, balance and strength.
The slide comes flat packed but only took my husband about ... ...always a relief because you never seem to have the exact one for the job. The dimensions of the slide are H69, W112, D57. This is great because it will easily fit into smaller gardens like my own.
Other good features include the fact that you can fold away for easy storage, but to be honest I never fold it away. I don't see the point. Its been in our garden constantly for 1.5yrs and it still looks brand new (well apart from the mud stains), will ...

Advantages: Strong, durable, colourful. Disadvantages: A bit unsafe at times.
...Kelsi's first birthday was approaching and the question on everybodys mind, including mine, was what can we get her, what does she need? Well being an only child she has been spoilt and literally had everything she needed. Then I thouhght to myself, she loves going to the park and playing on the slide and the swings, however we dont have a garden, and thats where little tykes comes in.
Little tikes slides are suitable for indoor and outdoor play, so there was the answer to grandads birthday present, so off we went to the local toy shop too see what we could find.
Little tykes slides come in several different sizes and colours. The 2 that we came across were the "Large Slide" and the "JuniorSlide".
