I purchased a reconditioned one of these from fairfax and have been thrilled with it. It was bought to replace a krupps bean to cup mchine which had started to leak. My husband and I are avid real coffee drinkers - we even roast our own beans. You can choose the cup size - espresso to breakfast mug size, the strength and the temperture. The water is pushed through at the perfect pressure and you get a wonderful crema layer on the coffee.
It is easy to use - the machine tells you when you need to add more beans, water, empty the grounds, clean it or replace the filter.
I dont have milk in my coffee so never use the frothing attachment, but it appears to be effective and easy to clean. the machine will deliver a water portion, but in my opinion the temperature can be a little cool - it's not hot enough to use for a good cup of tea!
Yes it is an expensive machine and a considered choice. If you only want coffee on a sunday morning consider a cheaper bean to cup machine. It looks fab, is well made and I wouldn't be without it!
