Advantages: Smells wonderful; leaves hands very soft Disadvantages: Price, lid could be better
I love L'Occitane products for their gorgeous fragrances and natural ingredients, so when I saw the lavenderhandcream, I just had to have it.
THE PACKAGING
I have long since discarded the box, but it was a lovely quality, thick cardboard in a creamy colour with a lavender coloured border and scrolly writing, as far as I remember.
The tube inside is typical of l'Occitane's simple style. It is a silvery metal with a dark blue octagonal screw cap and a cream waxy paper label with the same lavender coloured script. It looks very luxurious and expensive to me.
It is a 75ml size, which is smaller than some other handcreams but I find as with most quality products, it lasts well. You only need a very small amount because the light texture means it goes a very long way.
THE PRODUCT
The first thing to notice is the smell. It is ...
Advantages: Divine Lavender Smell, fab packaging Disadvantages: Not big enough!
I have always been a big lavender fan, the essential oil lavender smell not the artificial fake smell, so when I discovered L'Occitane had a lavenderhandcream I had to try it.
This handcream comes in a 75ml tube that looks like an artists oil paint tube, very stylish. It contains Shea Butter to nourish and soften the hands and essential oils of AOC Lavender. The price of it does seem to vary. If you buy it from a well known shopping channel it costs £17.00 for a duo, but it can cost up to £10.00 a tube.
My first impression really was the smell, it claims to be subtly fragranced, but in my opinion it is quite strong and I found it did last until I next washed my hands. This is great, if like me you are a lavender fan as I find fragrances very rarely last on your handds more than a few minutes!
The cream is a lovely white colour ...
Advantages: Does almost everything it promises to. Disadvantages: My hands don't look any younger!
I am always on the lookout for a decent moisturising cream, so when I was brought this as part of a miniatures gift set I was really pleased, the cream I will now review is not one I have ever heard of before receiving it, let alone tried it.
The product I will now review is - ?Champneys collection, vitamiracle hand & nail cream?
The tube is the upside down variety, I do prefer these due to the fact that the product automatically falls into the base/lid, meaning there is less cream left when the tube is at the ?unsqueezable? stage.
The tube is made of a reasonably thin plastic, this is essential to make the actual process of squeezing the cream out much easier.
The tube itself is clear, with the product being visible within, this is lovely pale creamy yellow, with the fact that it is very thick and emollient being very ...
