I think you will find a very detailed opinion by john.sw but the same details like connection number can be found on www.just-dial.com Well, the main thing is that you do not need an account, or credit card, or the such, but you just dial the number they state on the site, followed by the international number you wish to call. As it's an 0870 number, calls are charged at national rates and is also applicable for the use of free minutes from your mobile phones. This would turn out to being making international at no costs, or depending on the phone operator you have, making international could be as cheap as 2p/min. The countries are limited though scope quite widely, but the problem is you won't be able to dial to mobile phones overseas.
The service is available during weekdays only, during the weekend they offer the service via a mobile phone rate which in some circumstances may still work out cheaper than some other services, but generally when I use this service I alternate it's use to weekdays and use my Telco phone cards (which is the next best cheapest option) for weekends and maybe daytime calls.
Commenting upon the service, I have tried it a several times, but unfortunately only managed to connect once or twice. I believe that on most occasions it works fine as some of my friends also use it frequently and as a matter of assurance their bills have shown that calls are really only charged at national rates, no hidden charges involved.
Therefore, when possible I do try to use this service, as it's really cheap and convenient, you don't have to worry about finishing off credits before your call finishes, and there's no need to go out and buy the phone cards. The service when working is okay quality wise, but I guess it may not be as good as our local call quality, but for the price, it's quite unarguable. Therefore, I do really recommend to international callers, or as an alternative to use the Telco cards I've opinionated on to complement this service so you don't get irritated by being unable to make your calls on occasion.
Advantages: Free, easy, no bills, no paperwork Disadvantages: Not available to all countries or a weekends
Just-dial.com is so easy, so convenient and so cheap; it’s a wonder that everybody isn’t using it!
Users do not need to buy anything; no account, no credit card details, no bills; simply dial 0870 794 0000 from any UK phone (fixed, mobile or phone box) followed by the international number and you are quickly connected for the price of a UK call.
As with all 0870 numbers, calls are charged at the standard UK National Rate. If you have Orange Everyday ... ...below, off peak (which is during the working day for Americans) FREE for 50 minutes, and then 1p a minute for subsequent minutes.
I use it regularly for calls to the US and have found it to be reliable, with no difference in sound quality from a normal connection.
My telephone bills show a normal UK National Rate charge for my calls, so Just Dial really does what it promises!
As a business user, it doesn’t bother me, but the service is not available ...

You can use Just-Dial from your mobile phone too - giving you massive savings compared to international mobile tariffs.
With some mobile tariffs UK National (0870) calls are bundled with your free minutes package - In my case it used to be free but now Vodafone have stopped 0870 calls being part of my inclusive allowance - however it is worth checking if you're with a different network what their policy is. For instance most O2 customers ... ...rate numbers, like Just Dial's... and call abroad effectively for FREE (one of my favourite prices....)
From a mobile phone, the charge usually the same as a call to any other fixed line (land line) - though this may change according to which operator you are with and the type of mobile phone contract you are on, so do check with them.

Advantages: Nothing to purchase Disadvantages: Low Quality of service
I came to UK from India 1.5 years back. My parents and brothers are still there back in India. So I have to keep calling up to speak to them very often. I used to buy the calling cards from www.eurocallingcards.com for 12 or 20 GBP in which I could talk for 260 minutes approx and the one disadvantage of that being that the balance keeps reducing daily eventhough you dont speak. The cost of the calls ranges from 5p to 7p per minute for calls to India. ... ...or 020 access numbers.
I heard about just-dial.com and also found out that I could become a member there. So I registered myself as a member and then started using the number which I was given to call India (this information came by e-mail). The Call charges were 10p per minute since the number was a 0871 number. Initially I thought there was not much difference, but the quality was good and there was nothing to be purchased in advance and I had ...

Most of the details about just dial service has been covered by John.SW and I thought I just provide a little bit information about the service. For those who experience occasional difficulties, it may be worth trying an alternative service, http://www.0870-dial.co.uk and http://www.0871-dial.co.uk (NOTE: 0871 number is "named" as national rate but is actually 10p/min at all time. Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, don't have to worry about paying a bill (it is automatically charged to your card), customer service excellent Disadvantages: You need to have a Goldfish credit card to use this service, you have to be careful about running up a bigger credit card bill
We have been with Primus since their 'Goldfish' service started (about 2 years ago).
I am surprised at how cheap the calls are - with the amount of time I spend on the 'phone my bills should be a lot bigger! Calls are less than 1p per minute and Int'l calls are very reasonable.
The service is easy to use - you justdial 1454 before each call. You can even set your computer up to dial this first for cheaper Internet calls.
You get a monthly statement and the bill is charged directly to your 'Goldfish' credit card. ...

of the companies who do not give out geographical phone numbers (but don't get me started on that!! Saynoto0870.co.uk website quite good for finding alternative numbers.)
I have the standard answering machine service on 1571, but you can upgrade to personalise your message and have call waiting. I don't know how much extra this costs a month, sorry.
My package costs me £20.99 per month - this is unlimited phonecalls to landlines in the UK (except those pesky 0870 numbers) and free calls to most European countries, the US and Australia (you just have to remember to dial 18418 before the number and hang up after 70 minutes).
It also includes the internet access and you get a free modem. Even with the extra costs for occasional mobile calls (I use the free minutes on my mobile for these when I remember) and 0870 numbers my bill is rarely more ...
