Advantages THERE'S A CHANCE YOU COULD GET SOME CHEAP BOOKS
Disadvantages OR NONE AT ALL
Lured by the generous extra points from mypoints, I signed up for membership to Just Good Books.
Odd though it may seem, I very rarely read books, as I have the attention span of a ...

where was I?
Nonetheless, I did feel the need of a few cookery books. They had a good selection and the prices seemed very reasonable. As always the 'Recommended Retail Price' that they had undercut so drastically was ridiculously high. I don't think I've seen these books anywhere for that much - but I digress.
I chose one. I can't say which as it's a present for my other half (don't you just love those non-presents that you get to use yourself) and he occasionally reads my ops. It was indeed a veritable bargain and despite the extra £1 postage it still whiffed of a good deal.I waited.....
An email confirmation arrived. Great.I waited some more......
A catalogue arrived. Fair enough.I waited some more......
An apology arrived saying the book was out of stock so I'd have to choose another. Not at all great.I rang the helpline..... (which I later discovered was at enormous cost on my phone bill)
They agreed to postpone the original order until the book was in stock. It would now be a Christmas present. Great.A statement arrived, with another book list...... Fair enough.
Then a final demand, pay within ten days bill...... Not so great.I rang the helpline...... (I hadn't seen the first phone-bill at this point and was on hold for 20 minutes - Lord help me when I come to paying this one!) still no-one answered, so I hung up.
All I wanted to know was whether my book was on it's way, and could I please pay for it once it had arrived, like you normally do.So, I emailed...... Great.
No response to this day.Not at all great.
I also requested that due to the huge delay of the book arriving (TWO MONTHS AND COUNTING!) would they please substitute the free fiction book that was to come with the original order, with the current free cookery book for October's offer. Like I said, I don't read novels.Again - No reply.
I have got the 500 points off mypoints though which is something - although I had to remind them - but that's another story.Right now, I'd like to cancel the whole membership. I've received bills from just good books and almost equal bills for phonecalls, trying to ask a simple question.
BUT NO BOOKS.I'd like to take a vote on what I should do. Please leave your votes in the comments boxes.
Thanks,Moon.

Hi Moon, I too signed up with them and kept getting told my book was out of stock, they did finally give me a substitute, but everytime I placed an order for more than one book say four or five, they would say it was out of stock and post them individually therefore giving me lots of p and p costs. Not impressed. CAT
