Not too bad as book clubs go 22 of 22 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Cheap introductory offers

Disadvantages None really

I've always been tempted by adverts in magazines and on the internet for bookclubs which offer books at really low prices. Usually, however, if you read the small print at the bottom of the page you find out you have to buy loads more books or a book every month or get sent an editors choice that you have to send back.

Just Good Books is different. You get really cheap books as your introductory offer and then the only commitment you make is to buy 2 more books within 6 months. After that its up to you whether you choose to buy more books or cancel your membership.

Each month you get sent a magazine which lists a selection of the books they have on offer. Just Good Books have quite a good selection of books, and although they aren't as cheap after the introductory offer you can still get some bargains. You can either order the books you want by post using the forms they send you, or you can log in to their internet site and order them from there.

You can pay for the books by phone, post or on the internet. You can also check the status of your books (whether they've been destpatched yet) on the web site.My advice for anyone who is thinking of joining a bookclub like this one would be:
  • Take full advantage of the introductory offer as this is the part that saves you the most money. To give you an example I got the Harry Potter boxset, the complete chronicles of Narnia and a Phillip Pullman trilogy, which was 14 books in total for about £20.
  • Make sure you read the small print so that you don't get caught out ordering books that don't count towards your commitment.

I'm also always tempted by those offers! Had a good long membership with FSF, 'cos I like that kind of book, and I currently think BOL isn't bad, although their introductory offer isn't as thrilling as some. You could maybe say a little more about what kind of books JGB deals in. Do they have funny-sized mini hardbacks like some bookclubs? Just stuff like that.
