Soft drinks to me have mainly consisted of Coke, Sprite and a couple of other fizzy drinks. But I find that when I'm thirsty or exercising, the fizzy drinks are no good because the bubbles just make me feel bloated. And while sports drinks quench my thirst, they're full of additives and cost a fair bit when I'm consuming a couple of them.
... ...JJ for two main reasons. The juice has to taste good and it has to have a good texture. By that, I mean no pithy stringy bits in it, as it feels 'thick' if the stringy pulpy bits are still there.
Bonus reasons are that: it's way cheaper than soft drinks and sports drinks($1.70 a litre for JJ, compared with $1.80 for 600ml of Coke and $2.00 for 660ml of Powerade); It's incredibly thirst quenching, not too sweet and not bitter at all.
