Hi, I'm a married mum of 2. I enjoy the simple life - home pleasures, children, good times - but I adore the luxury life too. My husband says I have a passion for shoes... what woman doesn't !

We purchased our 2.9 CRDi Kia Sedona in May this year. Why, oh why did we not do it sooner.
How many journeys did we endure with the tedious whining of "Are we nearly there yet?" " How much further?" "Mum, he/she/its hitting me...?" - if you have children you know the sentences...
We've just come back from a camping holiday in the UK that involved a 3.5 hr journey, and I can not wait to go to France involving a 10 hr journey in 10 days time, yes, I can not wait to do such a long journey, with our children. I never thought I'd say that, but...
With air conditioning, comfy seats, a high ride position, and in-car DVD system (with infa-red headphones, so we can have our own music at the front), journeys are a doddle.
The car itself is a big beastie, and maybe its turning circle is on the large side... however, we live in a street with only on-street parking, and its narrow, but reverse parking behind a car is dead easy, thanks to the wonderful all round visability. It has good fuel economy, and whilst the tank is big - it takes 75 litres to fill - I don't seem to visit the fuel station so often.
The seats are a comfy, plush 'velour', but they hold you well - and the first two rows come equiped with arm rests - should you feel the need. The driver can control the interior lights for the rear, as well as the heating, so little fingers fiddling isn't a big problem.
It has two side sliding doors, so no more opening out a big door onto traffic or a pavement, and it doesn't matter which side you park, as you can safely off load the children to whichever side is away from the road.
All seats can be removed, and although weighty, I'm a girlie, and I can do it! They sit in rollers, and I find it easy to do. The boot, whilst not extra ordinarily large is deep enough to tackle the family shopping, and the carrier bag hooks help to keep the bags upright. It also has an 12v socket in the boot, as well as a boot light, and a handle to pull the boot down, because it does raise up quite high.
The air conditioning unit is powerful, and it has 4 vents in the rear, so each row is well cooled - and this helps the kids remain calm too.
The bonnet lifts easily, and everything that I'd need to do is easily identifiable.... oil, water etc.
Only trouble is, I can't reach the roof to clean it! So mines the one washed round the sides, and not on top! The only other issue is the carpet, its a really pale grey - and without the mat set it would get very grubby, very quickly.
We looked at the Chrysler Voyager as well as others, but it was a choice between the two. Whilst the Chrysler had more gadgets, electic opening doors, and rear quarter lights, it didn't have air conditioning in the rear.... It shares similar looks to the Chrysler too - but at a fraction of the cost, and having driven lots of different people carriers, this, bizarrely for its size, felt most like a car to handle.
We are really pleased with ours, we've done lots of long journeys - having lots of far-flung relatives, and its a smooth, easy ride.

Advantages: Cheaper than the average people carrier and has nice touches like the multi position seats and plush upholstery. Disadvantages: The fit and finish is not perfect in places and some peole may worry about Kia being an unknown make.
