When I first bought this DC240 digital camera I thought I needed digital due to the amount of "on site" photographs I was taking. The idea of taking photos and then simply "printing" them off on my computer seemed very appealing, especially that it meant that I could now have them straightaway on the same day and without even having to visit the local shop and return in an hours time. Excellent I thought.
Allthough I am not totally depressed with my camera, I am dissapointed with the quality of the shots.cos theyre poor, I had intended to use these shots as part of my companys portfoloi, but the problem is that the final product, on a size of A4 paper, appears very "washy", even after tampering with the photo.
I have learned that to have excellent photos, I need to buy an excellent camera which means spending money. The old addage of "you get what you pay for" still appliesw today.
I will say though that the effects, the way you can change the photos, the different colours and presentations are an excellent idea, especially as you can now simply email these to your friends and family etc.
My advice would be to ask the retailors to fully explain, show, and demonstrate the cameras you are looking to buy as well as the standard of phots AFTER they have been printed, after all, this is what you will be looking to buy the camera for.
Also shop around as the kodak camera I bought cost me £249.00 in comet whereas in another well known shop the same camera costs £325.00.

Hi ianay
A bit too late to advice of this camera. I did buy my camera just over a year ago, and I am pleased with it. At first it was difficult to use, this was because I changed from a floppy disc to digital.
I do find the picture quality is good, maybe I am not seeing quite well? Ah!
