I have owned my digital camera now for about nine months. I have found that the DC240 is extremely easy to use, a lot easier than most SLR cameras I have owned. It realy is a point and click camera and I have been more than pleased with the reults. My young son has used it to good effect on his trips out, he is only 12 years old so it must be fairly starightforward. The picture quality has always been good. I am no expert when it comes to photography but this little camera seems to have everything I need. It has taken a few knocks along the way and seems to be no worse off for the experience. I have had to think hard to say something negative about the camera, but if I must then it would be that the LCD screen adjustment wheel is too easy to knock out. The first time it happened I thought the camera had broken. Maybe that is just me being stupid. Overall I am more than satisfied with this camera and would recommend it as a buy for anyone.

Advantages: ease of use and good entry model, which will be cheaper than when I first bought one Disadvantages: advanced technology and fragile piece of equipment,but the=is can be over come with an extended warranty. 1.3 megapixels is really the lower end for digital cameras these days
Advantages: No waiting to see results - those you don't like you delete. Disadvantages: Only an 8mb card comes as standard - not enough to last your holidays.
